Love this video and your personality is still awesome! Yup my body still loves carbs and I have to eat some to feel better. I always wondered why I couldn't eat as much after I woke up, I just thought my sleeve got a bit smaller over night lol. My triggers are runny nose, coughing, and my throat sometimes gurgles which is embarrassing if people near me can hear it. Also, if I ate a bit too much or too fast, then I will burp and the food will want to come back up and I can feel it sitting high up my chest. Too much food will of course result in a lot of pain in my stomach. But thanks for changing my life, this has been the only thing that has worked. :*
#askdra hi dr. alvarez, thanks so much for answering my previous question! i have a few more: the 2 biggest and reoccurring arguments that i have with my husband is about chicken shawarma and eating late at night. i'd like u to help set the record straight please... he keeps telling me that chicken shawarma is so bad, so much fat, filled with hormones, etc, etc. i try to explain that i only have a 1/2 cup portion of the chicken plus some salad of veggies, and i don't eat the rice nor the potatoes nor the pita bread, no carbs at all, and with that portion size it is not bad for me but he strongly disagrees. he also gets upset when i eat late at night, even if it is low carb high protein. he says eating late will make u gain weight. he goes by all these old school diet rules that i guess apply to body builders or regular people on a low fat diet, with full sized stomachs, but i try to explain that that does not apply to me because i have a small sleeve now, and i eat 6-8 small 1/2 cup portions throughout the day, so if i'm hungry late night i need to eat a 1/2 cup of something because i never have a big plate full of food to keep me satisfied for hours before bed, especially meat helps, but he thinks that meat late at night is bad cuz it has hormone that make animals fat so it'll make humans fat, and he thinks I'm sabotaging my surgery/diet. i disagree . I've lost over 70lbs with the help of the sleeve and a low carb high protein diet successfully, so i know that works for me, but now that i'm about 20 lbs to goal, weight loss is slow like 1/2 lbs per month, but i know that low carb works for me and that weight loss just slows closer to goal, but he doesn't get that. i know in one of ur videos u mentioned stopping carbs after 4pm. i'm guessing that is with the presumption that u go to bed at 8 or 9pm? but for others who do shift work and go to bed at different times, for example if i go to bed at midnight, what is the actual number of hours before hand that i should stop eating carbs? and how many hours before bed should i stop eating any food? and is chicken shawarma bad for me?? i always thought anything in moderation is ok, and it has worked for me so far... i'd love to know an answer asap, but i guess if waiting for the answer on ur next episode will help others in the same situation as me, who have family/friends who want to be supportive but don't know how or have traditional diet ideas that may apply to people with full sized stomachs... then i can wait. pls help! thank you :)

My nose will start running after two blueberries and a raspberry. Two years out. Surely I can't be full after that when I can eat half a cup of food.

I get hiccups, runny nose, or sneezing. Sometimes one of these, sometimes two together.
