Definitely with Will. Most of us here despise WoTC and wish the company was in better hands. The management makes it too easy to hate them. Shout out to companies like Larian and content creators that have to dance around the giant shit pile in the room. Thanks for the shirt....
What is the rallying cry of Yan-C-Bin's palace workers who want to unionize? "SO-SO-SO! SOLID-AIRITY!" (Thank you. Tip your waitress. Try the veal. You've been a great audience goodnight everybody.)
BPS stands for bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing. In one piece hakai lets character punch people with elemental powers who can become amorphous, so I apply the same kind of thinking of magical BPS in D&D Thankyou for reading my other comment XD
For the record, the lawful outer plane of Mechanus has an optional rule where attacks always deal average damage, just like you were describing as a potential homebrew house rule
32:00 I was in the same situation. I created an area around the vessel determined by its size that keeps large creatures/objects or smaller in its artificial gravity sphere. Another cool effect is when two vessles spheres intersect, there's a roll the captions do & the winner sets the relative gravity which can make the losers up become down 🎲 🎲
I hope your boys have Feather Fall as a prepared spell! As for Yan-C-Bin (or any of the elementals), I would think that he would have major beef with any plane (including quasi and para) that does not have direct contact with their native plane, so Yan would probably really hate (second only to the plane of Earth) the para-planes of Ooze and Magma and the quasi-planes of Mineral and Dust. But, oddly enough, he may not completely mind the quasi-plane of Vaccuum… but, that would be the DM’s call.
I definitely do average damage, it's just faster. You can still crit, just add a die roll on top of the average. The thing that removes the chance of crit is when you use Mob rules.
In reference to average out damage for the players isn't that like literally the whole function of the plane of Mechanis? like all rolls just take the average.
Gonna be real, this was the first archelemental to really strike me as very interesting. The others are just kinda bland, compared to figures like the devils and demons. If I were to mess around with them, I'd probably rework the others to be more like him
Okay y'all here's the business. I've been listening to you guys for about 3 or so years now and I have always heard you talk about Superquest saga but didn't really want to commit to a new actual play podcast yet, despite my love of sci-fi. Flashforward a year-ish later I did the backerkit for DrakenStar and I said fuck it, lets start listening. I've been binging it and I'm on episode 9 already. It is fucking awesome, you four are so witty and silly and the world building is peak. You guys are great and I'm excited to finish SQS and maybe do a little Unhallowed? 🤭🫣

Maybe, the new president of Wizards can turn wotc around. I hope so at least.

I kind of want some Kua Toa to mishear Yan-C Bin's name and create a diety named Nancy Bin, the tornado-generating trash bin god.
I’m shocked they never made gargantuan minis for the elemental princes. Ogremoch would be so cool
Technically Pathfinder did. They've got a big elemental of every flavor.
Yan-C-Bin rollin' They hatin'
An order of cloud giant monks and ninjas dedicated to an evil Archelemental is something my game needs. *yoink*
Love it when the lore is something I've never heard of before! Great work guys. Keep up the good work.
I hope you check out Pazuzu’s 5e stats in Minsc & Boo’s journal of villainy
Do farts count as evil air? Do they fall under the perview of Yan-C-Bin? Who knows..?

Yan-C-Bin hatefully howling at his neighbours

In my home game lore, all arc elementals are titans who gave birth to the gods Greek style. So Umberlee is the child of Yan-c-bin and Ben-hadar
When you guys have a laughing fit I can't help but join in! Thank you for the great content and the laughs!

Tan ci bin reads books on the beach under an umbrella. His polymorth form with the elementals is a great buffer
“Evil Air”? So, he’s the “Fartlord” 😅

Are there darkness and light elementals?
Will says kind of.
Look up a substance called aerogel. For what i think solidified air would look and feel like.
Good old Yancy
I bet Yan-C-Bin thinks our names are stupid too.
Just another name for Lucifer.
I guess turning to this form makes him immune to polymorph?!?😅

He's really giving me "fun patron for a genie warlock" vibes.
Kazigga 🎲 🎲
Why do wizards hate goats?
Is it possible this is just another avatar of Pazuzu
Was going to say it's a solid episode but given the subject it's anything butt. Nice work.
Yan C Bin. The last fartbender.
No Ben Grimm references?
Generic comment
Never liked the art of spell jammer entries in the monstrous compendium. That guys art style was just whack

Glad you are enjoying SQS! It was a blast to make and super fulfilling to see it through to completion!
