  • Highlights from a wonderful weekend of live steam running during the 2023 Rails in the Garden event at the Murrumburrah Tramway, a delightful narrow gauge garden railway in country NSW. Track gauge is 32 mm, with a scale of 16mm to the foot (1:19) or thereabouts.

    Rails in the Garden are a group based in NSW, Australia that meet regularly to run our live steam and battery-electric trains on 32mm and 45mm gauge tracks at events held in member's gardens and at regular indoor exhibition events.
    We produce our own quarterly Australian magazine devoted to the garden railway hobby and subscription enquires are welcomed by e-mail: magazine@ritg.org.au.
    Our annual premier event is SHSU and we are already looking forward to the next edition on 17-19 May 2024; details of pre-registration are available at shsteamup.com or by e-mail: registrar@shsteamup.com.

      Yes it is a lovely bridge, built by John Bell about 10-15 years ago from a kit of hardwood parts formerly made by Smith Pond Junction Railroad Products, before moving to it's present site about 5 years ago. See spjrr.com/kits/hb.html
