Probably the 68 cornet 440, which probably is a 318 car and a driver and ironic. The only thing I like about survivors are they haven’t been modified, other then that it’s just a sales gimmick. Buy um restore them or fix them up and drive them, you want something to collect dust buy a fondue pot….
In 73, I had a chance to buy a Superbird for $1500 that had 2300 miles on it. It was a Yellow, 440 car. I was working on the RR as a laborer and had just welcomed my first born into this world, so I passed. Sheesh!
Thanks, same here **many times:::I passed on 70 ( or a 69 also)on BOSS 302’s because FORD DEALER in Lafayette Indiana could NOT let us test Drive ( overnight)…Interestingly, the Dodge Dealer let me take a DART 340,S GT(**.??, a TRACK Star): modified Pursuit, tires, Shocks,& loved Dart; unfortunately triple Green, bad colors…& that was “ in 1970
Thanks…. I DID See a NEW, “ Superbird “ in Downtown Lafayette IN(Spouse worked at THE FASHION, Downtown 😅store)in Spring1970, Us just Graduating Purdue, ( P70)…, “”NOT FOR Me: “” was a little to long & Dramatic; “and , a small part, of long story to “, buying a **1970 **Coronet 500( lot of Plymouth), RALLEY RED/ Black Vinyl&/ loaded in late Summer, our first NEW CAR! Anyways, great stories, people …!
Which Survivor car did you like the best?
