Very picky judges today! Several very good singers not selected and very average ones turned for! Surprising! Usually I really like this country’s show.
Strong performers, though many are whiners, but what happened to songs? Insipid and adolescent. It seems the judges wait to see if the singer sounds like the original. This is the goal? The songs follow the same pattern and reach for maudlin highpoint.
