This is exactly right! I work at a fragrance outlet where we have to spray for the customers. My boss (the manager) complains that I spray too much out of our testers, bc he does a tiny squirt directly on the tester-paper, as opposed to this method. He's been there 6yrs, I've only been there a year and a half... But unfortunately he only knows ( and *cares* ) more about the "business" aspect, than the actual fragrance aspect.... Which sucks, bc if he focused more on the "smaller things" like this, we would probably sell alot more frags.... Because... well... then people would know what they're smelling. 🤷♀️😩🤦♀️
The type of atomizer needs to be taken into account when you’re talking about spraying distance. Some do these really weak and wide puffs like Ralph Lauren, some do fine mists like Dior. Some don’t give a fuck and just soak the shit out of you.
Absolutely agree. Spray from a distance with a wide sprayer and most of your fragrance ends up on your carpet lol. Gotta work out the perfect distance for each sprayer 👌
Hey how do you know if a fragrance smells bad on you to other people ( aside from coughing and covering their nose) lol? Like some fragrances smell so good to me but I think others feel otherwise.
Not everyone will have the same tastes as yourself and that’s a given. Just wear what you like, don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. If you really want a second opinion, I’d suggest asking a friend for their thoughts next time you have something on.
I don’t know how to describe fragrances AT ALL. I have a disability and usually order online. I make so many mistakes so I don’t even get to test anything! I just know I wore Romance for about 15 years then Versace the light pink one. Regular old Bulvgari for years in the winter. Any ideas from an expert like yourself? I could sure use some help! ❤♥️🥰🙏☀️

Problem with working with/under idiots
Just spray it up close and swing the test strip around for it to settle. This is more fun and easier
This is such a great tip!!
Preach!!!
Rubbing alcohol? Black Opium has the faintest sweet women-ish smell. It's sweet but subtle.
This really helped cause I swear these be smelling like alcohol!! Lol thanks 🙏
I got you🙌🏽
ppl put it so close to their noses that it sticks to their noses too. then ill have residue and won't get the correct smell from the next fragrance
I don't know how many times i gotta tell my loved ones to STOP rubbing their wrists 🥴
I think it started when perfume was oil bc my mom had the tiny bottle of Joy & it was real perfume not a spray 😅
Better tip than anything from TH-camrs
Thanks for watching :)

😂 this is so true
😂😂😂
I like to use that technique when applying fragrance. I especially hate it when I spray fragrance and miss, hitting nothing🙁
I’m guilty of this…thanks for the tip! Sometimes the fragrance salespeople spray the wrong way as well!
Oh the difference a GREAT ATOMIZER MAKES😅
Yeah 1st initial smell is definitely not the full fragrance like people think
Wrong end of the test strip though 😂
Wow I was doing it so wrong. Thank you for letting me know. This is so much helpful. 💗🌼
So true

What if you spray it close but you just don’t rub it, does that make a difference
Stop buying Garbage fragrance '$
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Very good advice, I’ve always done it the other way, 👍thanks!, you rock!
I always spray it close to my skin I never thought about holding it at a distance before 😂
How do you spray it now?
Or maybe just let the alcohol evaporate off for a few seconds before you smell it
thank you
Thank you
"Spray from a distance" got it! So cool, thank you
Thank you this makes a lot of sense
