On Riddles in Hinduism (by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar) - Speech of Dr. Sikandar Singh

- Samvad, a discussion forum, organised lectures of various orators and scholars on topics related to "Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar - Dalit Consciousness and Brahminism". The lectures were organised by Punjabi Bhawan, Ludhiana on December 9, 2018.
Speaking on this occasion Dr. Sikandar Singh (Assistant Professor, Punjabi Department, Sri Guru Granth Sahib University, Fatehgarh Sahib) reviewed book titled "RIDDLES IN HINDUISM" authored by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
This is full recording of speech of Dr. Sikandar Singh.
Thank you, Dr. Sikandar Singh ji, SikhSiyasat for this honest introduction to Dr. Ambedkar's thoughts on Brahminism from the perspective of oppression of Dalits.
Brahminism, which dictates casteism is a threat to Dalits, as it has been throughout history.
Dr. Ambedkar rightly identified, chauvinistic Brahmins as the true enemy of Dalit consciousness.
This is not to say, all Brahmins are enemies of Dalits - there are some who support the upliftment of Dalits.
But, there is no denying, if Dalits must regain their honour, they must overthrow the shackles of casteism being forced on them by Brahminical social structure.
According to Bhagavad Gita, anyone can be a Brahman (Teacher), Shatriya (Warrior), Vaishya (Trader), Shudra (Labor) based on knowledge and skills:
🔹In Bhagavad Gita 4:13, Krishna says that he created different Varnas (profession) on the basis of one's Karma (activity) and Guna (quality).
🔹Bhagavad Gita 5:18 "The truly learned, with the eyes of divine knowledge, see with equal vision a Brahmin, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and a dog-eater"
🔹Bhagavad Gita 9:29 "I am equally disposed to all living entities: there is neither friend nor foe to Me: but those who with living sentiments render divotional service unto Me, such persons are in Me and I am in them."
🔹Bhagavad Gita 18:41 "The duties of the Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Shudras are distributed in accordance with their guṇas (quality) and not by birth.
Caste is a Spanish and Portuguese word 'casta' which stands for 'Breed' or 'lineage'.
During earlier times Caste use to be Varna (Profession) and based on merit and not by birth, I can give you instances from the ancient times, where a so-called modern day "lower caste" moved to "upper caste", e.g. Guru Valmiki, was from a shudra family but became a brahmin based on merit, etc
and btw Ravana was himself a Brahmin knowledgeable person from Northern India but because of his notorious activities he got punished by Rama (believed to be an OBC if we abide by caste categorization), and the time was about 16000BCE-12209BCE
Lastly, you have to understand the British role in this.
The Caucasians (Europeans) created Hutus and Tutsis in Rwanda, Africa, to divide and control the native population, and for this reason, the Rwanda Genocide occurred.
The same attempts and inequalities Europeans also tried to create amongst Indians by separating Northern India and Southern India into "Aryans" VS "Dravidians" and further dividing Hinduism into 3,000 castes and 25,000 sub-castes.
And also read about Herbert Hope Risley who created casteism, racism in Indian society by one's facial features and skin color.

Ambedkar wanted to convert to Sikhism but so called High caste Khatri Sikh and Jatt Sikhs never wanted to bring dalit OBC in Sikhism so he went to Buddhism. Even I personally like Nanak ji and seva . Jai bhim jai bharat 🙏🙏🙏

It isn't that simple, the Hindus elits or rss or Indian congress party.. would have done the same things to the untouchable what they did to Sikhs in 80s and 90s... 🔹Qu'ran 3:28 "Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah, except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the [final] destination."
🔹Qu'ran 4:89 "They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah. But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper."
🔹Qu'ran 9:5 "And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."
🔹Qu'ran 9:73 "O Prophet, carry out Jihād against the disbelievers and hypocrites, and be strict with them. And their abode is Jahannam (Hell), and it is an evil terminus."
🔹Qu'ran 9:123 "O you who believe, fight those disbelievers who are near you, and let them find severity in you. Know well that Allah is with the God-fearing.
🔹Qu'ran 8:39 "And fight them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah. And if they cease - then indeed, Allah is Seeing of what they do."
🔹Qu'ran 5:33 "Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment"

you are totally wrong...The greatest of all time Dr. ambedkar never wanted to convert in Sikhism because he was well aware of caste based discrimination present in the Sikhism and muslims.he was also aware of the situation of the dalit sikhs which was worse than dalit hindus .Also we can see the present day situation where dalit sikhs and upper caste sikhs have seperate gurudwara...Also the fight between the nirankari sikhs and others sikhs well known.
