This video is a bit of a rant, but also a sincere question to you the viewer. I dont know where to best serve Christ at this point. I feel a like a bit of a relic. But I want to do the most good I can in this life.

The litmus test is simple and universal to all endeavors, brother. Don't ask us. Ask the Lord and discern His answer. Fruit bearing is His business not yours or ours. Stay in prayer and we will pray with you.

You have great knowledge of the Traditional Catholic Faith and, in the times we're in now, I feel this is extremely important for the salvation of souls. I recommend you continue to provide content for those still in doubt or have questions about the Traditional Catholics who are standing for this faith. Consider having interviews with others as you have on other podcasts, to get other opinions of Catholic Traditionalists and to demonstrate a union with those as well. If you need a break, take one, but please continue with something. Hope to see you in St. Marys, KS, sometime in the future.

Your program in youtube if you don't see fruits today but truly but surely is of great help far and wide including me in the Philippines. I live in a small island with a small traditional community served by SSPX adhoc missions in monthly basis only during weekdays since our priests can't make Sunday Mass in our place because he has main missions during Sundays.
What we did was organized the Legion of Mary. The Legion of Mary was organized in 1921 and have a good history worldwide. The legion have works (general works, substantial works, special works) for Christ thru Mary. Helping the parish priest, facilitating the sick to receive sacraments, catechism class to children and adults are some of legion works. All performed assigned-works from the meeting have great merits. Your blog can be a legion's substantial work and can be assigned and be reported to the meetings. Fr. Daniel Couture, SSPX was once the spiritual director in the Philippines for many years and now he continued to serve as legion's director in his new assignment. I hope the Blessed Virgin calls her children to her noble service.

I’m a diocesan TLM priest from Oviedo (Asturias) Spain🇪🇸. I discovered your channel and applaud any initiative to help spread the true Catholic faith. So naturally, you have always had my blessing and support as well.
Like you, I also support the SSPX whose priests are based in Madrid and travel about the country, celebrating Holy Mass and tending to the faithful.
I would tell you something that you most probably already know: while it is understandably human to want to see the fruits of our labours, God may prefer that in this life we not see them so much. It’s better for our humility.
Of course, it is ultimately you, after a careful discernment of many factors, who must make the decision to continue or not, with this TH-cam apostolate.
Whatever path you take, your sincerity will be for the good of souls and Holy Mother Church, in these absolutely dire ecclesial times we live in.
As for whether or not it’s worth the time and effort to continue with this channel, it may be better to not think so much in these terms, and know that you are merely working in the Lord’s vineyard, and that it will be the angels who will do the harvesting of good fruits for eternal life.
As an example, in my home diocese we host extraordinarily beautiful annual TLM pilgrimages in July from Oviedo to Marian Covadonga (based on the Paris-Chartres TLM pilgrimages).
This year’s will be the Fifth edition, doubtless we’ll reach 2,000 pilgrims, mostly families, children, adolescents and young people, and more than 50 priests. From all over Spain and numerous other countries, including the United States.
After working to preserve the diocesan TLM since 2008 under difficult times… That I should live to see such magnificent pilgrimages in my diocese, is an enormous grace I never thought to witness.
So, my young Traditionalist Thomist, you never know how our good Lord takes our modest but sincere efforts-as well as our frustrations-to help his Church grow, and multiply the fruits so graciously.
And then, like Tolkien in “Leaf, by Niggle”, we too should look awed at the blossoming tree and humbly say: “It’s a gift!”

Then one traumatic year, I saw all the random knowledge and experience come to together and found my unique purpose. So be encouraged that if you want to be lead, you are being lead, and it's OK to not know to where. Store up the lessons learned, enjoy the present, and trust God.

Please know that your work has been instrumental in helping us navigate this confusing post concilliar era, especially in light of understanding the role of the SSPX in the Church. I sometimes hear things you have said uttered as I speak to my wife, friends, and priests. Your content is greatly appreciated. I am not usually a big commenter. However, I do want to say for me, it would be my pleasure to sit and take the time to know you and hear your ideas regularly. I am a father of 7. I understand the idea of loneliness I have heard the same from my sons. Just know the work you are doing is appreciated and would love to have more especially the catechetical instruction because at 55 I realized that I was poorly instructed in the faith and am only now tapping into the richness of faith. Thanks again.

Regarding your future plans and career path--if you’re single you could consider joining the SSPX seminary in Virginia.
If you don’t want to pursue a vocation to the priesthood--being a tenured professor would offer you tremendous autonomy and freedom.

You can reach more souls than possible before in history with this medium. Don't let the present discourage you, maybe your family haven't watched your videos now, or you might not get as many views now, but that can change in the future! I am a "silent" follower of yours. I have watched you from the beginning.
With that said, I have been a catechist and taught our children in formation at our parish. It is a thankless vocation. You almost never see the results of your work. If you are not being fulfilled think about the "dark night of the soul" type of situation and apply that to what's going on in your vocation with this channel.
I watch your content and sometimes it strikes deeply, other times it is informative but not applying to my situation or current life experience....that doesn't mean that it's unimportant to me...just that I have to hold it in the landing pattern of useful tools. (Analogy is my vice 😂) . Anyways, ultimately you should pray and then do what you think is best for you and to accomplish God's will for you.
God bless you and keep you. Love from the silent area of watchers.

I’ve made peace so far by continuing to make videos on topics I’m personally, as a former Baptist pastor and fairly recent revert to the Church, working through. I just make videos cause I’m addicted to reading and learning and that’s the way I assimilate a lot of what I’m learning. If that works for you as well, just keep making videos or other content. Become a good man, become a good husband, become a good father, and change the world (unto Christ) by what's closest to your everyday life. The old addage of "How can you change the world if you cna't clean your room? Get your house in order before trying to re-order the world." I trust that in the interior space, you've been doing that. So of course I'm broadening "your room" to mean your parish, your neighborhood and your neighbors, your local community, your future family, your daily work and place of employment, and so on.... rather than going after the entire globe with an internet connection.
Even small online followings have ruined many a good man; obscurity to the masses is a gift.
Look to make a good name for yourself among those from whom it really truly matters: your family, your neighbors, your parishioners, your coworkers.
    You're great, you're smart, you're well-presented, AND I still don't watch your videos tbh.
I say move on, from cyberspace to your local space. Leave the channel behind. Pax Benedicti.

"No one is interested, no one ask questions, or brings it up. You feel irrelevant"
A summary of being a teacher, especially a theology teacher.
Feeling lonely? Maybe intellectual starvation? No connection with like-minded men?
    Welcome to MY life!
When i was in seminary, I had a community. Even the crazy lefties you could at least convers with.
That lessened at major seminary. Then about 5seconds after leaving...all gone. The more traditional I became the less options for fraternal community. Especially with Francis constantly doing or speaking nonsense.
I wish I could offer some positivity, but I'm pretty demoralized as well.
So long as the church is the way it is, there is little to no hope for positive change in secular or church life.
Anyway, if you continue, I'll tune in. If you don't, God bless. I am sure God will lead you to what you seek.

Francisco, from Portugal 🇵🇹 I think you should continue with The channel. I think that the Lord is purifying your heart, by letting all this thoughts appear to you, so you can discern what are your true intentions. At the same time, don’t forget that the Enemy, is lurking in; when a soul is preaching the Gospel,he will try everything to stop you, even to instil in you certain thoughts. I will pray for you . 🙏🏼

There are many false teachers preaching false Gospels both in The Clergy, The Hierarchy and in general these days.
It is important that we have people in this time of crises in The Catholic Church who preach The Truth.
I'm sure GOD has a plan for you in these times. Take the time that you need to reflect on what that mission may be.
It could be that with the diserment of The Holy Spirit that you will come back with a renewed fire and zeal a different way.
Thank you for what you have done in your mission for Christ.🙏🙋

I am 63 and have learned much from you. I understand what you are saying. I care. I appreciate you. It really takes the wind out of your sails when you work hard and it seems no one cares. I left Dr Taylor Marshalls channel and came here because I learn. You aren't trashing people. Money, likes and such may be important but helping to save souls means so much more. I was born in 61 . By the time I was in 2 nd grade everything had changed.

Same. I left Dr. Marshall's channel also, right around the time I found this channel, several months ago, because I was tired of all the videos exclusively trashing people and highlighting certain scandalous things (not that they don't deserve to be trashed) but Nick's channel simply talks about the Catholic Faith and I believe his primary objective *is* to educate us fully and help people learn about God and get to heaven. That's why I appreciate him.

Would love a series or course on how to live the faith day to day the way Christ intended for his church. How to understand and participate in the TLM. My family and I go every Sunday but it's overwhelming. Wishing I had a coach that could train me up to speed. Was assigned a sponsor when I joined but he's mia. I have found that since I finished my traditional Catholic Master's degree, that family and friends tend to judge me harshly because of my faith, which is very isolating and can be lonely. I think this is a cross given to those who cling to the perennial faith of our fathers. Maybe social media is not the primary way that God wants you to serve Him. Maybe you could serve Him best in a religious vocation, where you know you would suffer for the faith! Even if you desire a home and family, doing God's will oftentimes requires us to set aside our own desires and accept what He wants of us. Just a thought.

Hi Nicholas, I met you when you visited Corpus Christi when we used to have our Diocesan TLM. I enjoy your channel, and I especially enjoy your contribution to Avoiding Babylon, I think you with Anthony and Rob have amazing chemistry and the three of you make that show exponentially better than when you are not there. Your personal channel is great, and I enjoy it as well. I think for your personal channel if you upped the "entertainment" knob - if you'll indulge me - I think that would grow your viewership: cracked some jokes, added some satire, added a catchphrase (Like TM's "got out there and Be Salty"), anything along those lines, it might improve your reach. It sounds cheesy I know, but things like that if they are done genuinely are effective, and I think if you go into teaching, you will find that those sorts of things make for a better and more memorable teacher. And I hear you on the loneliness part, I was that way for quite a while before I met my wife and got married. I'm still lonely for Catholic friends often. It seems it is simply lonely being a faithful Catholic sometimes, but hang in there! Just some constructive suggestions for you. May God Bless you, Christian brother!

Hey Nick. Not sure if you'll see this. I'm not a traditionalist, just a married dad in small town USA trying to make sense of things (though I do appreciate a traditional liturgy). But I want to say off the bat, your online content is really cool, and your presence on Avoiding Babylon is what really makes the podcast imo. You buck the stereotype of the "prideful traditionalist", whether that stereotype is fair or not. I'm so sorry you are feeling lonely. That is a very hard thing to deal with, especially today. I will remember you in our prayers tonight.
You've gotten a lot of folks in the comments telling you to continue, and their reasonings are quite fair. Here's the other side of the coin: there are many spiritual pitfalls to being a public figure. It's very easy to become wrapped up in "am I getting views, are my subscribers growing, are people viewing me." I notice seeds of this thinking in many online Catholic personalities. It's no knock on any of you. It's part of the game when you're trying to grow an online podcast business, because ultimately podcasting is a business. We viewers don't expect you to put in all this time for free! But perhaps you're being called to something else, something where you can focus your efforts on the real people in front of you rather than the virtual people on the internet. You say you have the heart of a teacher. But maybe the fact that the real people in your life aren't noticing your online content is a sign from God that He wants you to change things up, to make a concerted effort to reach them rather than people online. I'll leave you with the best quote from the best movie of all time. It's become something of a life philosophy for me. Perhaps it can be for you too.
St. Thomas More: Why not be a teacher? You'd be a fine teacher; perhaps a great one.
Richard Rich: If I was, who would know it?
St. Thomas More: You; your pupils; your friends; God. Not a bad public, that.

The lack of relevance you express is something you no doubt share with many of the missionaries of the Faith in the Church's history. From the first apostles to the priest serving in our urban wastelands, the temptation is to measure success by fruitful consolations. In reality, the Church owes its success to those who percivered even when it appeared that their efforts were a waste of time.

I feel you. I came into the Church Easter of 21. I've been teaching RCIA at my parish ever since. I'm involved in a men's group (younger dad's like myself in their mid 30's). And I ask myself what actually is the fruit of it.
For lack of a better word, Karens are still in charge of the RCIA class. The older generation is still "spirit of V2-ish" although not near as bad as in the coasts (I'm in Kansas).
We cannot hope to know what God has planned. Reminds me of God responding to Job in Job 38 "“Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gird up your loins like a man,
I will question you, and you shall declare to me.
4 “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Tell me, if you have understanding.
5 Who determined its measurements-surely you know!
Or who stretched the line upon it?
6 On what were its bases sunk,
    or who laid its cornerstone,
7 when the morning stars sang together,
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?"
His ways are not our ways. Let us seek to be faithful servants.

I think Kennedy Hall was saying for those that are *truly* interested, writing a book is the best way to reach those that care more than watching a 19 minute and saying to themselves "well that settles that question!". Perhaps you should go down the route he has: have a Substack account, partially monetize content behind a paywall and otherwise write articles and books (for One Peter Five etc and TAN for example) - that way you reach people with real interest in the subjects you're talking about. Your Catechism of the Council of Trent series is really good so I would continue that if you can. I get a lot more benefit from this channel than, say, Timothy Gordon flexing his ego over TH-cam. God bless.
