    Thank you, Ignited Ink! Your presentation included elements I've not seen elsewhere in my TH-cam travels. These include thinking about the non-fiction work as a marketable product with an emphasis on how the reader's life will be changed by that product. You also answered my burning question about the necessity of a book proposal for memoir; yes and no depending upon to whom you submit. Very helpful.

      Lol! I'm happy to help. And memoirs are unfortunately inconsistent when it comes to book proposals.

    Thanks for the detailed video! Do you recommend creating the proposal even if the manuscript already completed?

      If you're writing a memoir, you don't always need a proposal, but if you're writing something like self help or a business book, they want a proposal regardless of whether or not you've finished the book. It's a marketing plan, not just an outline.
