*Kahuna 4* - bit.ly/3g2Ldmz *Plant A Tree* - bit.ly/3iqQohy This performance sandal is designed for hiking in and around the water. Slides on the foot with ease and padded with a neoprene lining, it's a versatile, comfortable option for long days spent on your feet.
These sandals are marketed as water shoes. So many video reviews and not one talks about what to expect when these shoes are wet. Do they dry quickly? Do they retain water??
How does this differ from the Kahuna 3 / iii? ...I've had three pairs of Kahuna 3s. The first was excellent in terms of build, design, comfort and durability. I thought the two later pairs both seemed less well constructed and made of inferior materials. With both of the later pairs, I snagged the lip of the sandal causing the pig-skin strapping to rip from out of the soles, ruining an expensive and relatively new pairs of sandals with single steps! That never happened with the first pair.
I've tried these sandals the 111 model . The toe area is like a torture device for feet. In my case it pushes my little toe underneath the toe next to it. The size in length is the correct size. It must be the elasticated system at the front which causes this. It makes it impossible to adjust the toe area. I have not got wide feet either.
You've unfortunately missed one of the most important features of this sandal. It has an antibacterial and antimicrobial coating added to the footbed. This means it doesn't become slippy with algae or mold / fungus.

I find Vibram soles to be ok for wear but very slippery on damp rocks etc, I’ll try these and see if they’re as grippy as the video makes out.
