I have been hesitant to buy camel crown or any of the other Chinese brands on Amazon after being burned a few times over the very cheap rubber soles that wear down very quickly.
but nothing beats the Merrell Kahuna 3 or now the Kahuna 4 sandal. It knocks all of these "top 5" out of the ball park. On a scale of 1/10 where 10 is perfect I give it a 12.
Arch support is for weak arches. Why weak? Because the foot muscles don't get worked. Raised heels? Why? Because it's a stubborn industry fad descended down from horse owners with tall heels (stirrup use). Pointy toe shapes? Because the horse thing again, and association with wealth. Big thick isolated soles with air chambers and cushions? Weak feat again, without strong muscles or nerves communicating with the brain. Comon shoe companies!!
Teva no longer makes the strata universal. They were my favorite sandals and they have stopped making them.

I also don't like the new fad of a raised heel. It's not the way the foot works.
