- HIGHLIGHTS: The Stormers were impressive in their game against the Blues with a solid 37-20 victory in Cape Town on Saturday in what was an important game to stay in contention in their conferences.

I waited five weeks for the Stormers to get out of second gear. What a victory! JJ Engelbrecht played the best game of the last couple of years, I feel. Things are looking up for Robbie's boys. They must just keep foot on the gas and hopefully some injured players will start to come back to strengthen the team even more. I might just take the trek to Newlands next weekend. Go for it, boys!
why are both the teams wearing blue . Does the blues have no alternate kit ?
Yeah but it is really confusing to the viewers . I am a Chiefs fan btw and is used to see them in black gold or white outfits.

They do have an alt kit, it's mostly white but maybe they forgot to pack it

Perofeta should've started. Sam Nock and Bryn Gatland, really lacking the basics which put them under pressure throughout, causing Ruru and Perofeta to play catch up footy... SBW needs to play like the senior player he is. I know his offload is 50/50 at times but maaaan.... The ref and tmo didn't help us. Lol Nevermind boys. Stormers deserved that win😠

Blues are defensively vulnerable to put it mildly. They need to get a new defensive coach. They are particularly bad in the centre combination. Their back 3 are not backing each other up and are getting caught out. It’s because they all want to score the tries or make the big hits which puts them out of position. Ironic because Umaga was a beast on defence so it’s surprising to see them performing so badly on D. I don’t care if they have to make the game boring but they need to focus on their D and build their attack of that. Come on boys!

Because unfortunately, in Cape Town, we have locals who support any New Zealand team against any South African team. The irony is that many of them will deny there is anything political about it.

Yster Your comment suggests that all coloured people support NZ teams, this is not true. I am a coloured born and raised in Cape Town, and I am a diehard Springbok supporter. I can also tell you that even in those areas where there are a plethora of coloureds supporting NZ teams, there are plenty that support SA.
Coloureds are the highest ranked try scorers in South African RUGBY history. Bryan Habana, Chester Williams, Breyton Paulse, Enrico Januarie, JP Pieterson etc. Facts are better than opinion.

Blues are at the bottom of the Super Rugby table and Lions are right at the top. Denial is a terrible characteristic. Facts are facts my friend, your useless Blues will never be in contention for any trophy in this multinational tournament and u know that. JHB Lions all the way!
