I believe they purposely put cheese between the crust and the pan. That is how Detroit style pizza gets the dark crunchy crust. Which is why your pizza crust looked so light.
I was going to comment the same thing and then I saw yours. 😆 I’m about to try this pizza so I also wanted some assurance that leaving the cheese in the corners of the box was purposefully done by the company to make it truly Detroit style pizza.
Just try it once with the cheese left in the tray. It's there on purpose. It makes for a nice cheesy, browned, slightly crispy edged crust. I think you'll like them even better this way.

I just bought my second Motor City Supreme. I always cook my pizza longer but I liked this one. I like the thick crust like bonus bread sticks😄 The tip to lift the pizza & rescue the lost toppings is great!

This weekend my brother Ted and I tried two selections of the Motor City Pizza Co. pizzas. We tried the supreme and the three meat pizzas. Your review was spot on cause both of us really enjoyed them very much! They have become our favorite frozen pizza. I personally have never tasted a frozen pizza this good. It's better than Little Caesar's deep dish. I bought these at our local Wal-Mart . They didn't have the peperoni or the cheese sticks or cheese pizza;; there were empty slots on the frozen shelves where they would of been, so maybe next time I go there they will have them. Anyway wanted you and Kevin to know that we tried the pizzas and enjoyed them very much. Take care and keep up the good work at making us all hungry out here.
As Detroiters, my boyfriend and I find these Motor City Pizza products to be quite good for the genre. I tend to add extra mozz and also switch on the broiler for a few minutes before taking it out of the oven to brown the top some more.
I never eat frozen pizza, but I was at Walmart a few weeks ago and saw the motor city pepperoni and thought, what the hell. It was pretty freaken good. It really didn't have that frozen pizza taste. Definitely bake it longer than what the directions say, maybe 23-25 minutes

I wish the price was $6.48 here in GA. They've gone up to $7.49 over here...slowly creeping up to $10 and then I'll have to find something else. THIS Supreme was good to me! I shared it with my two (ungrateful) sisters but the next time, I'm indulging on this alone, in moderation. FYI: Add bacon crumbles or bacon bits to jazz it up!

I just tried one of these and was pretty disappointed. Cheese was bland, and pizza was dry with very little sauce. I left the cheese in the sides (and I assume underneath) to get the Detroit style caramelization to the edges. I had a Connie's "Super Pizza" recently and that was so, so, so much better than this, although not Detroit style.

I just made it. It was Amazing! It tasted better than take-out. I added fresh mushrooms, diced kalamata olives, and onions topped with some cilantro. Superb!!! The Crust was Golden and crispy. Thanks for your review. I'm so glad that I purchased it today. Cheers. 😀
I personally think this brand is just as good. I wouldn't say that about other brands though. It's just my opinion, but I also believe these factories are much, much cleaner than a restaurant.
You definitely should *NOT* have picked it up out of the tray, that cheese is supposed to be there. I love this brand. Little bit of garlic powder, itallian seasoning, don't lift it up and let the cheese around the edges caramelize and it's amazing. I legit prefer this over delivery most times.
I bought this exact pizza 🍕 from GIANT supermarket today for $7.49. DiGorino always taste like they put cinnamon in their recipe. Its not strong, but enough to ruin the experience.
I bought one of these (supreme) and I thought it was HORRIBLE!! The crust was dry, the sauce was nasty and the toppings tasted weird. I don't see why they are so popular. I am really surprised that you guys liked it....

All of our Walmarts are the big ones. The thicker the crust and the more toppings you should bake it the for the longest time they give you.
At first I liked DeGiornio best, then Freschetta, and now this Motor City Supreme Pizza tops them all.
