Lol, this look exactly like my hotel project when i was in college. It was in revit 2010 and i let revit shape my design back then because i was unable to use more advance modelling.
Point clouds are inserted into your project similarly to a CAD or IFC file, they are 3 dimensional point based scans. Very useful when working on brownfield sites like complex industrial buildings.

You should update to 2020, you cant open on previous version.
