    this is definitely not a satanic church,this is more like a small farming community that needed a small church to bring the word of our lord and to bring people together.

    One of the former inhabitants was definately Danish.
    The paper on the altar at 06:55 is in Danish. A rough translation would be something like "Whoever enters this church do not forget that this is the house of God. Silence and prayer befits this consecrated place. If you are capable of doing so, then pray for yourself and for those who preach and listen to God's word here. May the Lord bless your entrance and your depature from now until the end of time. Amen
    ".
    The books at 23:24 are selected works by N. F. S. Grundtvig - one of the most influential authors, theologists and philosophers in Danish history.
    The cross-stitch says "God! Bless our home!" in Danish. And as someone else pointed out, the spice jars from Knabstrup Keramik were very popular in Denmark in the 1960s (and are very retro chic now, actually).

      Exactly. They must have been of a different denomination as the common folk there, so they where labelled 'satanic'. Perhaps it was a selfmade christian 'sect', but to call it 'satanic' goes way to far: I have not seen a single item that points to satanism in that village.

    The ruins you came across were probably the home of a Highland clan chieftain, built in the 1600's possibly. Many of the Highlanders were Jacobites, and many died at the Battle of Culloden. The British pretty much hunted any left down after Culloden. If you'd explored more in there you might have found a clan crest above a doorway and worked into the stone. Around the Laird's homes, quite often there were basically little village built. Crofters that helped run the estate, pledged loyalty to the Laird, paid a rent with part of the crops they grew or animals they raised. To many, Jacobites might as well have been Satan worshipers! Possibly a rumor carried on for centuries to keep people out of there. The newer bldgs were likely built in spots where original bldgs used to be. The British burned and destroyed anything they could. The bath tubs outside, probably water troughs for livestock the last occupants had.

    You were such a wuss going into the initial building. The large house you went in was built in the early part of the 1970's. There are hardly any buildings kept from this period, the design is typical. Shame its been left in decay. I loved the little building you went in first and the one you went into with the brown tiles ! I had tiles like that in my kitchen in the 70's, yes I'm ancient. Both of the little buildings ( I loved and the chapel too ) had Aga's they are worth a penny or two. It is incredably sad I wish I had pots of money. Can you imagine having enough dosh to renovate it all. Your right what a wonderful setting surrounded by old woods and fields. It would be a dream house, aww shame I am an old and skint 🧓🏻. Great work lads I thoroughly enjoyed it.

    This place is full of Danish greating cards, spice jars, books etc. Rather than satanic I think it was a Danish/Scandinavian settlers village. A lot of the stuff (pottery, hairdryer and such) is from the 70's - but most of the furniture looks older.
    A couple of the drawer chests look 70's too.
    Others have commented on the way you film - I do agree to a point... Perhaps a go pro and/or a stick for your phone - helping to keep the camera still and straight... And if possible filming a little further from the items - slowing down could help too.
    Either way, thx for sharing these exploring videos 😊

    I’ve seen horder houses that have had real satanist living in them. With weird writings all over the walls, walls being completely black from being burnt because of rituals. Nothing of this screaming satanism to me. Just some religious people that lived a bit too far out in nowhere without any way to practice their religion. So they had their own little chapel where others in the close community could come and use. Which was actually quite normal back in the day when you lived out in the country side. Although not so normal in more recent times, which is why it can bee looked upon as quite weird in this day an age. But honestly nothing too spooky and weird about it.

    The people in the pictures on that beautiful piano look like how my Irwin [Irvine] ancestors of Drum Castle, Aberdeenshire, would look. It's all like a fairy tale except for the rumours of rituals. It might not even be true, you know? I recently subbed and really enjoy your explorations.

    I come from a farming background and the outdoor baths are used for animals to drink from and a regular item on most farms. The orange string is called bale o twine. Its used to tie bales of hay and straw together. No decent farmer was without a few pieces in his pocket or to be used instead of a belt. I kid you not! The large range in the kitchen was a rayburn. Looks like it was a wood burning rayburn hence the chimney as I doubt they'd have large oil tanks up there for it to be oil burning as our aga was. Ray burns (usually square hot plate lids on the top and aga's (usually round hot plates) we're used for cooking and heating as they'd be kept lit 24/7 xxx

    I keep watching these videos and I love them!! There is so much history in every place and wow if walls could talk. They do seem to come to life in these videos. I noticed something today that's been bugging me a while. I feel like I walk into an old abandoned building every day when I come to work. There are only a couple people coming in these days. All the desks are collecting piles of dust. The calendars are all set on March and things on the desks have just been frozen in time and I wonder if anyone will EVER come back for them.

    That cross would surely be upside down if satanists no? 😏

    • @healinggrounds19
      @healinggrounds19 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Upside down can also be the Church of St John
      the Apostle who asked to be crucified upside down. He felt he wasn't worthy to be crucified like our Lord Jesus. Thus his churches keep his crosses upside down. They are NOT Satanic.

    • @taigatanfan_
      @taigatanfan_ 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      An upside down cross isn’t even connected to real satanism. It was just what some people started to believe and spread around. That the upside down cross had to be the opposite of Jesus, since his cross was the right side up. So it had to be an anti christ symbol, that was meant to mock Jesus, right? Well, they were dead wrong. It’s what happens when they start to spread misinformation around.
