There was a loose egg in our garden from our ducks a few weeks ago. The ducks didn't do anything with it so I put it in the incubator. This cute duckling has hatched. If everything goes well (you never know) he / she can go outside in 6 weeks, with our other ducks. Now needs warmth, sleep and care. Loulou & Coco are so sweet. The gentle behavior of Loulou, Coco has completely copied. We are lucky.

Loulou is just so very sweet. I love how she moved her leg to accommodate the little duckling when it tried to snuggle in to her. Coco is so curious, but also so very gentle. Loulou is a super mom and teacher!

Brings back memories. Esp how slow a chick hatches! Took my young boys to a week long Thomas/train festival and for an entire day my boys were thrilled to stand there watching chicks hatch. Lol! Other parents thought i was nuts, but as a single mom, a day in the shade watching my boys go nuts over ea hatching was priceless.
Love how tolerant and curious the dogs are of their friends. We could all learn this lesson.

LouLou and Coco are such good girls... Bedding down near the hatchling when he's under the heatlamp, then curling up with it on the couch and gently nuzzling it; even though it looks like it was nibbling/preening at their whiskers even. 😊
