My daughter does exactly what you described about engaging the shoulder. We’re going to switch to an IR team of coaches in our area. She’s lost her control a bit so we’re hoping it’s a good move for her especially since she will be transitioning from 10u to 12u this summer. Your videos are so helpful. Thank you!
Great video and explanation on the shoulder push. This is something U13 daughter is working through. Still generating decent speed but has lots left in the tank due to not properly snapping. Cheers
I'm not sure either of my daughters have been taught this for 10u or 12u. Good video. Wish you could slow it down even more and explain the spin and motion through that whip. I would be pushing it everytime from my personal lack of knowledge and just from throwing a softball underhand.

whip/internal rotation should be taught from the beginning. There is no age limitation
