Goofy's FAMILY Tree - Disney Explained

How is everybody doing and welcome back to Disney Daily!
When I think of the original Disney characters there are a few that come to mind and one of those is the clumsy but loveable Goofy.
Goofy first appeared on screen in 1932 and was originally only intended to be a background character.
However, as the studio started to use him more and more in the early cartoon shorts- they quickly realized how much potential he had and how much the audience loved him
Goofy quickly became an icon and a permanent main character.
We have learned a lot about what makes goofy goofy
However, there is one area about Goofy that I don’t think has been explored enough and that is Goofy's family!
I made a video similar to this one all about Mickey’s not so well known relatives so I thought why not explore Goofy’s.
Did you know that he comes from a long line of Goofs? If you answered no! Never fear! I didn’t know this either until I made this video!

The gaggle of goofy's. That's where you see a whole bunch of goofies in the same cartoon. You would think, those are all his identical Brothers cousins etc.
Goofy is one of my favourite characters him and Donald Duck from Mickey’s friends ❤
There’s a few Goofs from the comics I know of who I think you missed. In a storyline from the Mickey Mouse comicstrip, “Dr. X”, Goofy seemingly gets kidnapped, and Mickey checks in with some of his relatives hoping to find out what happened. Of course they call up Grandma Goof, which is where one of the images you show of her comes from, but they also visit Cousin Clabberwart, and Calbberwart’s brother, Hutch The Hermit,
Before the Mr. X storyline, there was one printed earlier called “Uncle Wombat's Tick-Tock Time Machine”, Wombat being an inventor whose creations are so insane, that he’s gained the title of being the dumbest member in Goofy’s family, a fact he’s proud of.
A recurring character is Arizona Goof, his cousin. He’s shown up a few times, and his first appearance was printed in Goofy Adventures issue 12. I'm sure there's more, but I'm forgetting them.
Wouldn't Donald Duck's Family be considered far more explored? Goofy has had a lot of relatives in one-off stories, and a few of them are recurring, but Donald's the only one with a large family of recurring characters

I think it’d be really interesting to do one of these on Pete since a lot of people know in Goof Troop he has a wife named Peg, a son named P.J.(Pete Jr.) and a daughter named Pistol, but I’ve also read about the comics where he you see his mom and he also has relatives like an identical twin brother named Zeke(also his cousin who was in an episode of Mickey Mouse Works) and a cousin named Portis who’s a mad scientist who helps with crimes and apparently is only in the Italian comics. Also in the Italian comics he has a girlfriend named Trudy.
Ok I been waiting on this! I’m so for it goofy is my fave him and max and power line ! Yes Disney need to tell us what happen to max mom.

Its always interesting to go into depth about the classic, lovable Clubhouse characters, and seeing them shown in so many different ways and films! It'd be cool to get a future Mickey and Co movie, something we've NEVER seen. Excited to see what's next😁

All I ever knew of Goofy's family tree was what we got in Goof Troop as well as A Goofy Movie and it's sequel An Extremely Goofy Movie. As you mentioned I wonder what is canon and not with everything we've been given about Goofy over many decades. I didn't know a lot about Goofy's family tree until you made this video so thanks for being informative as always! 😊

He made what I think is basically a true end to the goofy story and makes it a trilogy of movies this fanfic is SO GOOD LMK if you watch them
Goofy has two brothers Gaffy and Geffy, and many uncles and aunts.
