Psych Synopsis: "PSYCH" is a quick-witted dramedy about a young police consultant Shawn Spencer (James Roday, “The Dukes of Hazzard”) who solves crimes with powers of observation so acute that he’s convinced Santa Barbara PD detectives into thinking he's psychic. Raised in Santa Barbara by a family of cops, Shawn possesses uncanny powers of observation honed by his police officer father, Henry, who drilled young Shawn to note even the smallest of details from his surroundings as a way of grooming him for his inevitable career in the family business. Has anyone else noticed how there’s obviously a lot of us Psych-O’s out there, yet you hardly meet others in person? No one ever gets these references and it’s sad.
Imagine how widespread the fan base really is that I first started watching this show when I was back in Cuba like 5 years ago and I remember it being a lot of fans of this show, actually I came to know about it because all my classmates were talking about it.

God I love how they would constantly rag on The Mentalist all throughout it's run. Just another little Easter egg that made the show so great.

I love the crying one because I could totally see a little girl taking one look at Henry in a goofy shirt and erupting into tears.
Lassie yelling “Is that my wife and unborn child in there” the same way Sean and Gus did was perfect. The show is perfect.
I feel these moments are really underrated, when Lassie unintentionally goes along with one of the show's jokes. Like the episode when Shawn writes the horoscopes and Lassie spends the entire day walking backwards throuh doorways
This show is just absolute comedy gold
And when Gus says “is that my teddy ruxpin in there?” When he see it at Henry’s yard sale. Gets me every time.
Lassiter: "Maybe you'll solve the great ice cream crime caper of the century"
Shawn: "Crime of the century, huh? Still have 91 years to solve that one. Gus and I are gonna pace ourselves."
We can't forget "I've heard it both ways". Also I am personally a fan of all the Nigel St. Nigel quotes such as "It feels like I've been incarcerated in a blueberry" and "This car makes me want to weep and then die".
The way he says it is great
His one liners were insane, you know the writing cast had so much fun with that episode! They had one liners in their back pockets and were like "YES! Let's use these ones!"

I can't believe it's been 15 years. I'm still watching them from season 1 episode 1 to the latest movie. I've lost count of how many times I have gone through the entire series, but I'm still laughing, still enjoying, still crying. Thanks for THE BEST series ever.

The psych director and cast should really consider bringing the show back. Because it is a mystery detective show, the possibilities of the storyline with investigations are endless. The whole cast has a natural chemistry and they are really like a family. They created something special.
They seem to be more comfortable in making movies
@@coultergill7728 especially since both leads are on their own shows on ABC now. I think movies help with all of the logistics getting everyone together at the same time. Plus it keeps fans wanting more.

My family LOVES this show! So much so, that we name everything after it! My daughters car is named “Gus”, my truck is named “Shawn”, our motorhome was the “Blueberry” and we just bought a little red travel trailer that we christened the “Cranberry”. 🍍

To Steve Franks and all the cast and crew that made Psych what it is - I struggle with anxiety, and was so bothered by the news, and violent shows that I was wearing headphones whenever my husband watched TV - and this was before lock down. It got much worse as I went on full time telework, and needed to watch the news to be aware of any danger that I might have to respond to. I got to the point that I didn't leave the house, even when I could, wore headphones ALL the time, and was no fun at all. I tried meditation, and therapy, but wasn't improving. Then I started watching Psych reruns, and could take my headphones off when it was in the background. So I leave it playing in my bedroom/office/ hobby room whenever I have the TV on - it is all I watch. I watch from the 1st season to the finale, and then start at season one again. It brings me peace and joy, and I feel calm and lighthearted when it's on. I've been doing better with my anxiety, can go out, and I don't wear the headphones anymore! But I didn't realize how key Psych has been to my improved mental health until recently, when the situation in Afghanistan hit the news. I'm an Army veteran, and spent a year in Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom - so when I walked in the livingroom and saw the headlines - It felt like there was a big hole opening up in front of me, and I was about to fall into it - and a complete meltdown. But mentally I pulled myself from the edge, and said out loud, "Nope - I don't do bears". And I left that room with the bad news bears in it, and went in the bedroom where I watched Psych, got crafty with my Cricuit, and kept my sanity. So, thank you, from the bottom of my heart - I love you...and ham sandwhiches :)
