Hi BAJ Marine, Please I need you help, I went to inspect a YOKOGAWA CMZ900. The gyro starts with CS which is cold start. After like 30 mins it shows FAIL. The liquid is not full, do I need to replace the liquid. Within the 30 mins interval I can hear the gyrosphere working and heating up well. Or could it be another error.
Hi, welcome buddy, Most probably if gyro goes to CS meaning it shut down him self and reset. In your photo current start at 60ma and end up 45ma. In 45ma the gyro already should start in going to high speed mode but possibly due to high current of the running winding of your gyro sphere it shut down the system and fail. Mostly this is a Gyro sphere failure. If there is board problem it will not run the motor and reach to running stage of the gyro sphere. Other possibility to check is, liquid level should be full, or surely not touching the sidewall of gyro sphere casing.

Thanks for sending me a message. CS means Cold Start Mode. From Start up of Master Gyro that is Normal because before the Gyro Sphere start, the gyro liquid should be pre heated until 45 degree centigrade then the Gyro Sphere start energized. My case in the video is that I'm sure Master Gyro is working fine before I switch Off. In your case you have two options to check, water level and Gyro Sphere itself. First remedy is to refill the Gyro Liquid or if you have enough volume of Gyro Liquid drain it all and change with new ones. And get back to me for more instructions if needed. Good luck.
Hey Onur Kurt if you don't know what you're doing don't do it. Please bare in mind that a dead equipment cause you no harm. I'm doing my best for a remedy only before the new replacement arrive. hope its clear.

If the liquid is more than a year it should be replaced with new one.
