Great looking rocotos! Trying to grow a couple of them this year. How do you make your cages? Looks like they are all custom made.

I’ll do a video on the cages! Great idea!

I've just got back from Iquitos and did not bring any back. How did you get them? Did you bring back the actual plant or seeds?

@@nrmasson1 many ways. Sometimes it’s nice to send yourself something via carrier etc

@@PepperGuru Thanks Guru, I looked on the US Customs & Border Protection website, but they are unspecific regarding seeds. Maybe next time, I'll bring some back and just declare them and see what happens.

That is not a giant rocoto. There is a variety in a small village in northern Ecuador that grows as large as a bell pepper, has amazing flavor and heat, and can produce 100 fruit at a time. I will be introducing these spectacular giant rocotos soon after establishing them on my farm near Quito.

The fruits I collected from in Iquitos, Peru were the size of infant human heads. My climate and conditions don't come close to being able to pull that size fruit out of the genotype. It's there...IF you're conditions are prime for it. Thanks for the reply!
