- Here we have the Massillon yard's newest truck, 2277, picking up trash in my city. This is a brand new (less than a week old when I shot this) Mack LR/ Heil HalfPack Freedom FEL, and boy is it nice. They put it up in my city in replacement of 2212. The LR cab is pretty incredible- our new LEU's are nice but this is on another level. The driver jokes that this is his fighter jet because the cab really does feel like some sort of cockpit or something compared to a run-of-the-mill garbage truck. Needless to say, he absolutely loves the truck. To top that off, he is glad to be back on this route after spending most of the past 4 years in Barberton.
As a note, this will be my last weekly post, at least for a while. I still want to film trucks here and there, but with my schedule I just don't have time to come up with a video every week anymore. Plus I'm sure you guys are sick of seeing so many identical trucks and I've filmed just about everything within a reasonable radius.

That man's doing real work... The bums out here in L.A. don't deliver that extra service - just dump the cans!
They ain’t bums
Where we do garbage collection, driver doesn’t get out of the truck and pick up trash that’s beside the cans. It stays there. Just empty the can and keep going. We also don’t collect cans with lids wide open for the very reason it makes a mess when the can is emptied just like the one in the video. Lids have to be closed or no pick up. They don’t abide by the rules, then too bad. The resident can haul their trash to the landfill themselves. It only takes not picking up their garbage once for them to start playing by the rules.

Wow! That looks pretty great! Definitely glad they got a fold up door on this. Not a fan of how the door is more of a giant window than an actual door LOL! But definitely a pretty sweet ride. Still trying to get those corner windows to grow on me, man those things are huge haha Awesome video, I always know I can count on you and your yard to have some neat Curotto videos!
Yeah it looks good for sure! I personally like all the windows, I think it makes the truck look sleeker. We've got our share of Curottos, no doubt about that! Glad you enjoyed the video

At least he gets out of the truck, the Republic Services "Guy" That picks up are trash, shows up whenever, and skips stops sometimes just cause they don't feel like getting out of the truck, and I know there have been calls on him. If you can't handle the job, sit on a curb somewhere.

Thanks! The LR looks great, I'm glad we finally got one. They love those trucks, so I'm honestly not sure why they went back to Heil.

rws676 Unfortunately I left,I worked with Brayan and the guy with the side loader in Barberton I don't remember his name sorry great guys hard workers.I loved my job but I couldn't go over certain things,very good company to work for.Great channel by the way keep up the good work,there is people like you that understands the difficulty of the trash business that's good example to other people.

Massillon has 6 of these and 4 rear loads. Cuyahoga Falls has 6 of these and 5 rear loads
They must have alot of trash on their route 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 but they do a great job 👍👍👍👍👍
Ohh it must be nice to have a working truck with air conditioning, I'm in the Yorktown branch, they hire a shop Forman who has no clue what he is doing,,,, trucks are always breaking down,, instead of fixing the problems, he wants to blame the drivers instead of looking at the VCR and seeing the same issue for days weeks months years,

Very good driver! Also, is this diesel? Most newer Repub. trucks are CNG. It looks and sounds diesel so very nice catch! If so, diesel Repub. trucks are very hard to find nowadays especially in urban areas.
This would be a diesel. Fortunately, Republic diesel trucks are actually very common in the Midwest. I’d say about 70% of the fleet here is diesel!
What's the point to that truck? Wouldn't this be more expensive than just a truck with an arm and dumps the trash can straight into the back?

We have 2216, 2234, and 2277 out here for trash and 2266 for recycle. This was the A week for recycle, and it was on if that's what you were wondering.

@@rws676 Thank God! The diesel trucks sound way, way better. I love all trash trucks, but CNG trucks sound like vacuums lol. Every single truck within 50 miles of me are all CNG which sucks.
