- Demetrious Johnson overcame a slow start to defeat Tatsumitsu Wada at ONE: DAWN OF HEROES and advance to the finals of the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix. In the first frame, the Japanese contender was able to bring Johnson down to the ground, take his back and control much of the proceedings on the mat. However, it did not take long for the flyweight icon to readjust his strategy in the coming rounds and he was able to utilize his world-class ground game to overpower his Japanese opponent while doing significant damage from the top position. After three pulsating rounds of action, all three judges ruled in favor of “Mighty Mouse” who now faces Filipino phenom Danny Kingad in the final at ONE: CENTURY.

The guy took his back and had some good ground defense, nothing else and it takes far more than that to win a fight. Far from DJ's hardest fight

understatement, ONE have the best pool of talents under and including 145 in the world, whereas the UFC have the best pool of talents over and including 155.

Height wise yes, but muscularity wise DJ looks way bigger.

And Welterwights in One are Heayweights in UfC

Flyweight in ONE FC is actually 135 lbs so DJ will always be severely outsized. He is the GOAT though
Cuz they arent allowed to weight-cut, so basically most of fighter is one division above their division without weight-cut

Demetrious finished the fight strong, he took 2nd round but that was pretty close imo, 3rd was absolutely his
@Amr_thbst tru i kinda like that format better because if someone struggled in the early rounds but completely dominates last round. It kinda covers the fact that we can actually take in amount of damage inflicted on opponents overall rather than go round by round. It provides more closure on who the winner of the fight can be.
If its a 5 round fight i see Dj dominating they are all dangerous in the first round but DJ’s heart and experience is really one of the toughest out there !

DJ's ability to adjust strategies and approach was on another level. Wada had a good plan coming in and executed it brilliantly but he barely adjusted to DJ. This is another great win by DJ but honestly Wada has nothing to be ashamed of, he did really well. Another fight showing ONE FC has top tier talent

These onefc guys give dj a better challenge than the 125 UFC roster .

Wow that was great, how the hell either of them didn't choke each other was amazing. That was impossible to call, the other guy had demitrius down more times, the cut swung it but man i can't say one was better than the other, they deserve a rematch or extra round.
