Hey man, I just like to give props to good work. There are a lot of skilled AE users who make tutorials, but they can't/don't explain things super clearly and you do. That may also be because I am older and more experienced now. But this Spider-Man run of effects are very good, I need an excuse to do FX for another Spidey video haha

hey bro, I'm getting this error on my ae, it is saying that there is an Error at line 6 in property '2. X Rotation' of layer 5 ('E3D") in comp 'MOV_1836'. layer to world matrix isn't invertible in fromWorld., an expression was disabled as a result of an error.
Please help me and tell me what to do to fix this issue.

I'm having a problem with the part where you animate the web coming out of the shooter, when I try fixing the flattened web cone by changing the scale it comes up with error and it doesn't actually change the scale, so the flattened cone is still there. Please get back asap 👍

Hey great tutorial but I’m having an issue with the web, I’ve got a white dot on my screen the whole video even before the web comes into frame. It’s in the web comp layer and I’m not sure what it is any idea?

Jacob Dalton Jacob Dalton I just figured it out, I had the web cylinder was playing throughout the entire video I just trimmed it to start when it’s supposed to and it worked fine. I had a small brain fart lol, Thanks for the quick reply either way.
Jacob Dalton hey again, so this time is having trouble with the webs length. It ended up going past the webshooter and caused the psychics to go nuts kinking the web up and down. What’s the fix to this? Is it as simple as reducing the length of the web or is their something else I’m missing? Thanks
Broccoli_32 yeah reducing the length might help but overall I’m not sure exactly what your issue is without seeing it.

Ethan The Bad Magician it really depends on what you wanna do! I would definitely recommend also having premiere if you're gonna be making videos regularly! I'm on their Creative Cloud program that has access to pretty much all of the apps they have available

hi when u said the orbit camera tool it moves the web to a another place it doesnt orbit it
TBRPro that would be because you're web isn't centered in the scene. The orbit camera tools "orbits" around the center of the scene. You'll need to reposition your camera, and then your web. I know it definitely can be finicky sometimes

EDIT: So I got past the "doesn't rotate" part but when I use the puppet tool it detaches my 'webs' into segments.

What if my elements 3d doesn't working?
When I use the puppet pin tool and try and pair it with the motion tracked null it comes up with a error saying
"After effects warning: Expected: ;
Expression disabled.
Error occurred at line 1.
Comp: 'Comp 1'
Layer: ('web comp 2')
Property: 'position'
Then it won't pair with the null someone help me please!!
Videos by Josh hey man! Are you accidentally pickwhiping it to your null directly instead of your null's position value? Double check and make sure you are connecting it to the position value of the null layer, rather than directly to the layer itself. (Hit "p" on the keyboard to quickly bring up the position value)

Hey I think it would be interesting to try using this method of web shooter effects and pulling an object back towards yourself, or just moving the object. For example, in the newest Spider-Man Homecoming footage (th-cam.com/video/F0vMKjVjdg8/w-d-xo.html) we see Peter pulling a door closed. I think I know how to do this and regular object pulls based on your method and tutorial. But would love to see the way you would do in reality!
