The guy who said the Japanese hate this song is an old-fashioned man. This song was a big hit, especially among young people, precisely because of the irreverence against the adult world, the curse words, which is very rare in J-pop. But not only because of that, because of the music, Ado's talent, who changes his voice with every sentence, etc... Ado has three or four more impactful songs, in musical terms, which are very interesting even if you don't understand the lyrics. The other songs after this phase are also good, but they're not that innovative, it's hard to appreciate if you don't get into the mood of the lyrics. The song Hanabie covered is Odo (Dance).
are you saying Yuta is an old-fashioned man? if so, do you realize his age looks to be somewhere around 30 and he was explaining how older folk didnt like it for the reasons he was explaining in the video?
@@poleosis I wasn't saying about his age. I was talking about his values, I understand he was talking about Japanese parents who were annoyed with Usseewa. When he speaks, he clearly agrees with the criticisms. Of course, anyone has a right to criticize. But it is not necessary to be alarmed by the message of the lyrics, people recognize something interesting in it, but as another facet of life. When he takes it seriously, he turns out to be an old-fashioned person. And Ado came from a very specific niche in Japanese music and was at the top of the music charts on the release of Usseewa. Of course, many young people, but not only, identified with the song.
@@TenmaWhite "Adults in Japan hate this song" =/= "the Japanese hate this song" Edit: The song being a big hit and topping the Japanese charts also proves otherwise. Did you not read the comment?
@@TenmaWhite There are only adults in Japan according to you then. Thanks for educating us Mr Genius. See how you sound? You completely ignore the edited part of my comment and misinterpreted OP's post. Is Yuta paying you or something?
@@takeshibrb7495 You're right. That guy is not an accurate source when it comes to Japanese discussion. The song has 200 million views currently with so many covers from various Japanese musicians and singers. There is certainly more people who enjoy this song than there are people who actually hate it. Besides, if Japanese people really hated this song, it would not have anywhere near the success that it does.
5:34 exactly the reason why some Japanese adult dislike this song, can you imagine your kids sing along with the song and repeating saying “shut up shut up shut the f up” in front of you? wwwwww
No one apparently knows how to fucking react to music? Who pauses during the build up to the very obvious beat drop??? THEN DOESN'T GO BACK TO GO THROUGH IT PROPERLY
HANABIE. covered the song "Odo" but "USSEEWA" was covered by NEMOPHILA. Ado will release her first album on January 26th 2022. She turned 19 yesterday. Thanks guys 👌🏻
@@ewlol I know, I was just answering the question they asked in the video. “Odo” was one of the most popular songs from last year so I imagine a lot of artists covered it
Ado is a only 19 years old and she has worked with high level Japanese producers and artists
19?!?! WTF
