Love your vids man! Your aditude towards life is incredible, and to think that you had such a horrible injury and still came back from it is just great! Keep up the awesome vids!!!
I came here for the Steep spots, Subscribed because I wanted more of your content and stayed because you are not only one of the nicest people on this site but so insightful when it comes to action sports! Now I am eagerly awaiting each video and tbh I get EXCITED when theres a new steepsteep Video! Thats a feeling I havent had on TH-cam for YEARS! Came for the vidyagames but stayed for IRL and your persona. Keep doing what you're doing and please let us be a part of it! Godspeed Nick, to the Nines and BEYOND!
Man..... when I first saw this channel I was skeptical... Now I'm an addict. Your excitement for the sport I love is infectious and your attitude towards life is inspirational. Keep chasing it man. :)
Ngl, that doctor probably told you that because he knew your potential as a professional drawing artist, damn those drawings look nice 😍 Lol, keep inspiring the community Nick!❤️
I havent watched you for about a year, i remember finding you when i was stuck inside after a surgery for about a week a few years ago, got into skiing cuz of your channel. Thanks for making great videos.👍
Having hit a "large" jump for the first time this year, and also my first year skiing, I know how stupendous it feels to do something big for your skills, I can't even imagine hitting a jump even 10% this size but bro so sick, love this for you.
the fact that i found your channel back when i was 12 playing steep on my xbox one all night and ive gotten to see you grow much makes me so happy, keep doing what your doing til what your doing is the best to ever be done.
Honestly so inspiring!! I spent a year in Colorado before going back east for college, and just moved back to Colorado this season, hopefully for good. That year i felt like i progressed so much, but the last 5 years i didnt get out much due to school and poor snow conditions, it was so rough. Now that im back i feel like im close to where i was 5 years ago, but definitely in the same boat where im looking to take it to a new level. Seeing this im definitely gonna give it my all next season, goal is to get something worth posting for top 5 clips, and maybe even make it in the vid 🥹 keep shreddin rubber ducky, the skys the limit for you!!
This is amazing and such an inspiration! I met you on the flight down to Zürich and it was so great to talk for a second, and I'm so happy that the recovery has been possible for you! Keep it up man!
As a medical professional I whole heartedly endorse the 2nd opinion. I exploded my knee and one surgeon said "your done".. The other said "heard of Connor McDavid?" Also that axis on your 7 is sick
Seriously I had goosebumps when you did that cork. With your medical history it must feel so incredibly motivating. Can't imagine your feelings on that day ❤greetings from Germany :)
Just shattered my heel and got multiple fractures in my ankle cliff diving. The doctors have told me pretty much the same. Really hope i can get back to it lad x
Love it!! I broke my collarbone real badly mid ski season this year and missed all of it. Can’t wait for next season. But besides that, so glad to see you back on snow
Bro your hard work is finally paying off. this year has been massive for you. I hope you continue to grow and we get to come along w you on your epic journey! I think youll be damn close to 1m subs after next season for sure. Just stay true to yourself and continue to provide the most stoke on YT
What an awesome event you’ve been a part of Nick! So proud of you for never, never, never giving up! That’s an amazing trick you accomplished 👏🏻🤩 Almost made my heart stop and made me cry! So happy for you my boy 😃❤️
Everything happens for a reason steep steep, that doctor was there to tell you NO to light a fire inside of you to get back, and now youre back living your best life. Happy for you man
I have a herniated disc between my L5 and S1. My leg was numb, I lost muscle, and I limped when I walked. Doctors also told me I wasn’t going to ski two seasons ago. But with physical therapy and time, I was out on the mountain in two months! I’m actually glad the doctors told me that because it made me even more determined to take my physical therapy seriously. No surgery needed!
Man, I took a ride on the back injury train almost exactly the same as you. L5 fracture with severe mobility and pain issues from the sciatic nerve. Only difference is my sport is Volleyball (used to be skiing, but can't get a scholarship for that at my school). Its a rough journey back, glad you made it through my man! Your vids keep me stoked for when I'm done playing ball and can finally hop back on the slopes!
So stocked for you Nick. As an athlete who has had to comback from injury before. Nothing is better than getting back to where you once were. Also helps when you have one of the goats in Andri cheering you on. I mean come on. How you not going to go huge for him
When i did my acl i spoke to the right surgeon at the first time. When i eventually came back a second and third time and asked about park skiing he replied: "Look son, if one finds an activity that reliably improves quality of life..." He got it as he was quite the athlete himself.
I listening to this, though not having had to come back from a broken back. I was born with a mild to moderate form of cerebral palsy, and was told I would never walk, and was in wheelchair, until I happen to finally meet a German doctor at Yale University, who asked if I wanted to walk, and simply told me to never say “I can’t “. Fast forward to college , where I completed in the elite level of cross country skiing and might have done the same in alpine skiing, if I was allowed. I done bring this up to brag, but to point out that at every time I was told “you can’t “, still put my head down, and smash ed through the wall, I was presented.Again never saying the word “can’t “. A couple of years, I contacted Lime Disease, and lost the use of the right side of my body, which is my dominant side , had a couple of years before rekindled my love of alpine skiing, and again was told by doctors that skiing was out of the question. Then a year back I was given to wonderful physical therapist, who besides learning at just shy of sixty years old, l was shown the importance of the small muscles in my body. I had thought with all my years of training, that I had a pretty good grasp of my body. And with her working with me, working to learn all I could about where I needed to go now. I unfortunately without her help, as she has moved on to the next phase of her life, I good forth with the thought of never using the word “can’t “, knowing that I will not only ski again, but probably like all the times before, better than last time. Sorry to give such a rambling comment, but have found your vlog, and followed it for awhile, I have been taken in by your enthusiasm, I find myself even thinking of probably purchasing a pair of those signature skis of yours, and dusting off those ones freestyle abilities, and of doing something with them, of course nothing like your amazing abilities, but something. So in closing this absolute ramble, I want to say you are inspiring even to an old guy like me, and remember never say “can’t “, keep smashing through those walls others put up. Best of luck, I will be watching!
I can relate to that first strate air😂 once I did an xl jump like you and my skis started twisting because I took of weird and did exactly what you did😅
I'm happy for you. Enjoy, it's been a long time since I had to give up skateboarding, snowboarding because of the health of my back, but I don't regret anything. I have very good memories. (Like my biggest 43ft snowboard ledge jump in the 90s.forever in my memories)
We gotta get you hooked up with the GoPro FX Reframe plugin for Premiere Pro my guy. Get that 8:7 GoPro footage formatted for hyperview in post! No more black bars.
"can you imagine being that stoke on a cork seven" dude, it was perfect 👌 Btw, what is the name of the song at 9:40 ? it is regularly used, and i can't find it >
I have a similar story like that. I shattered my Fibia and tibia in my left leg about four years ago by hitting a tree on skis. They said that I wound be able to ski in 7 years but I said FU and Im now absolutely destroying every one in the competitions
I have a similar issue in my l3 but I have a permanent nerve pinch and some times my legs will lock up and I can’t move for around an hour it’s gotten better over the years but still happens from time to time
Dude!! I’m so happy your hitting these INSAINE jumps! Goooood lord man, it’s like watching my little rubber ducky grow up 🥲
Love your vids man! Your aditude towards life is incredible, and to think that you had such a horrible injury and still came back from it is just great! Keep up the awesome vids!!!
