Remarkably this exact question was in the WWTBAM computer game, which came out over a year before this episode was taped. Imagine if he had remembered it from there...

I thought it was that too, I remember seeing it on the box, but even then I wouldn't have been confident enough to risk 218k on it. Again, they're only easy if you know them. And it's not like it's common knowledge like Dan Blonsky's million dollar question.

The first time I tried Earl Grey tea was after watching Star Trek: The Next Generation, when the Captain Picard character ordered it from his ready room's replicator. I hated it. It tasted like someone had put bubble bath in the tea. That's when I looked it up and found out what the adulterant..uh, I mean *flavoring* was.

David Cornwell's pen name is John le Carré, not John La Car. It has an accented-e on the end. They spelled it right, but they all pronounced it wrong. Regis was famous for butchering pronunciations; I once heard him pronounce "Pythagoras" as PITH-uh-GORE-us.

@Matthew Casiglio I believe it was 2nd edition not 3rd. I wouldn't say you're bad at the game. Its just They randomize the tier questions so much, that you might see the same question 5 times before seeing a brand new question. Which is why I try to limit playing Millionaire on PS1. Wanna be surprised.

Richard Hatch, the 'Survivor" contestant, was born in 1961. When this episode of "WWTBAM" aired he would have been about 39. You're confusing him with the 'Battlestar Galactica' actor of the same name, who was born in 1945.
