  • Time-lapse video of how I covered a Superstol flap with the Poly-fiber covering system. This piece was covered using medium weight fabric and light weight pinked edge finishing tapes.

Awesome work, and thank you for the timeplapses! It really puts it all into perspective. You should get with stits poly fiber and pitch them instructional videos. A picture is worth a 1000 words, but a timelapse is priceless. Plus it's amazing seeing these projects come together and look amazing.

It seems easy when you do it, but the truth is that you are a very smart girl and you have an ability for this, congratulations

I thought amazing, then l realised that it was actually taking many days if not weeks to complete - l can only assume that you are working on a great number of covering jobs every day - You are certainly very good at it - l'm impressed

Great job. I am a little familiar doing this since covering wings for rc gliders with Uitracoat. It would be nice if you accompanied this with narration on how you go about
    doing your work.

I see when you cement the fabric to the structure you're applying the cement to the top of the fabric and then allowing it to soak through. I thought the procedure will the Poly system was to apply the cement to the structure and then lay the fabric into the cement, forcing it up through the weave? Please don't take this as a criticism, rather just a question. You do really nice looking work.

Where did you buy the small claps? Again...beautiful work!

The clamps are from harbor freight.

Nice video. Did you use clear poly-brush or poly-tack on the bare aluminum? Thanks!

Thank you! I used Poly-Tak to attach the fabric to the aluminum.

I am building a super stol XL, how much would you charge to cover the whole airplane?

Tidy work. Some observations: The seam of the fabric could have been completely hidden near the nose of the flap instead of making it on the top. Yes, it gets covered with tape but it's still visible. No reinforcing tape under the rivets? And there is no real need to spread glue on all the leading edge surfaces and rib caps, just around the openings. But whatever works for you. Where are you located?

Thank You! The way this flap sits into its wing cove makes this a good location for the fabric seam. The rivet reinforcing tape application is demonstrated beginning at 1:38 in this video. There are a few reasons I chose to apply the glue to the entire surface, one being manufacturer recommendation. Feel free to send a private message for any detailed questions.

Why do you feel the need to criticise, just watch and enjoy. Awesome work!!! I am an AP-IA. Where were you last year when I started my W-10
