Peezy its less about just reactions and more about making the read to be ready to break a grab.
matt M well it is about reactions, because good people will use auto shimmies just like that Lao super played against. You have to react or you will get caught by auto shimmies. But it's pretty dumb when you actually tech the throw which is a huge risk in itself, you reset neutral instead of being +7. Imo you should be rewarded with at least +7 with such a big risk

I don't think people hate on him, I think they just like other characters more. For me at least, I have a hard time playing with kollector because he's not my style and I have a hard time learning him.
Honestly kollector is just one of those characters that are pretty forgetable

I’m going to be for real Kollector is so complicated that I’d rather go to the krypt and get items from him...
He has some pretty easy buttons. The only problem you may have is running his command grab into combos. But mid screen and anti airs are his specialty
What's complicated about him to you? I had sort of the opposite problem, where I started by maining Jade but found her to be too simple (mainly because f21 seems a lot more powerful than it really is when you're starting out) and once Kollector got his 443 buff I started playing him pretty much exclusively (although I've gone back to playing more Jade since her recent f21 and 124KB buff, because her combos are interesting to me again).
But I'm the type of person who loves having lots of strings and spending a lot of time labbing all the different combo possibilities. Basically I just miss MKX lol. So obviously I don't think he's too complicated (now Fujin...) but I can see why someone might think that, and I'm curious to see if there's anything I can say that might help to demystify him a little.
Buick Debaron I get your point Buick but what makes him complicated for him to play as is that he kind of reminds me of Sheeva except he doesn’t use all four of his arms, And he has so much gadgets that it’s like I don’t know how to combo with them and the only way that beginners would know how to play as kollector, is that they follow kombo attacks From the menu in order and that’s kind of me right now with kollector. You get my idea? Secondly what system do you have?
@@goonfire0381 I'm not totally sure what you mean about following the attacks in order from the menu, to be honest. (I'm on PS4, btw.)
I mean, for me it's more a matter of - what do I want to do? Then from knowing what I want to do (i.e. range, speed, safety. Etc) it's just muscle memory, but again I'm not completely sure I understand what you mean.

As usual, a awesomely “super” video from Super. You gotta love the animation for Kollector and his arms. This game is seriously impressive in both graphics and gameplay.
Wouldve been pretty cool if kollector had like a steal mechanic. Where he could steal an item off an opponent.
For example he could steal scorpions grapple and use it against him or kung laos hat.

How do you remember all the combos and the playstyle, just muscle memory or do you practice before you play a match?
Several people its not as hard as you might think you get used to switching between characters and not dropping combos as long as youve spent some significant time and really learned them
@@astashasta1 Ik I play with 7 different characters however I know 100 percent of frame data, range, and punishes for 3 characters only so it does take time I know that much

I main this variation. Most people arent ready for a good Kollector. Really a secret op character. Relic Lure is such a good spacing and anti air. So useful for opponents that like to jump alot.

That Kung Lao was real good he only beat him because he kept grabbing him but also the kung lao kept going for unsafe moves like spinning too much and air dive which left him wide open to get attack plus he was not blocking the lows and the throws

I'm a Kollector main also. Not sure why people think hes hard to play? His combos are all slow and easy to hit confirm. His teleport seems slow with 37 recovery frames but i almost never get punished. He has one of the best whiff punishing strings in the game with his 443 launcher. And absolutely hands down the BEST Armor Break in the game!

After seeing how aftermath ended, I'm curious if there can even be a new MK. The story's antagonists are all bested or nonexistent atm, so if they do a new MK, I think they kind of have to do the Onaga story. I hope Kollector and others make it, the Kollector could be interesting.

Kollektor has a lot of interesting combo attacks, don't know why nobody's using them. Like the 2 1+3 4 crushing blow, or the 44, b122.

@@PeopleVLOG_ Noooooooo, why is everyone spamming this one 😅 Try to stick on f12, it has good pressure, has a 3rd hit mixup, hits low and is your go-to for starting combos with amp projectile. If you want range, use 44 or f3124, safe. And for a crushing blow punish, use 2 1+3 4. His combos are easy and really fun to use, give it a try ! For example: f12 bf4 j1 443 j1 13 db4 (no it's not a russian nuke code)
