I love Game and Watch. My collection of retro Game and Watch systems is slowly increasing. It is always nice to see others appreciate them.

Hi, I'm a 1995 kid. So, I owe my interest for Oil Panic to its appearance as a move, stage and trophy in the Smash Bros fighting game series. The device I managed to get has sort of an ink spot at a corner of the bottom screen, thankfully not affecting gameplay. Buttons work perfectly, and I never once blamed the controls for my mistakes. What an impressive long-lasting quality from Nintendo's part, I say !
I also have its DS port in G&W Collection 1, and also its port and remake that are in G&W Gallery 1, as a 3DS Virtual Console GB game. I sort-of cycle through my versions whenever I pick Oil Panic as my game to play
I sometimes like to isolate myself in a quiet and dark room, only having my Oil Panic on display under a spotlight. Ya know, for a constantly bombarded with stimulation kid like me, due to grewing up with smartphone internet and modern games in hands, well, to keep all my concentration on a simple, repetitive and minimalist old LCD game console like Oil Panic, it is somewhat of a therapeutic meditation. I sometimes like to spend uninterrupted quality time on an old game, specifically for that aspect. There are times I go for a walk in the forest just to sit and open up Oil Panic to appreciate it under the sunlight, having only relaxing wind on trees and the console's bips to listen to
Due to its minimalist nature, compared to today's games and media, I feel it's only fair for me to give Oil Panic a special treatment : to cut myself off of anything else, so I can be able to appreaciate it as its own thing to contemplate. I wouldn't be fully satisfied with my experience with it otherwise. You know how hard it is. I have TH-cam Shorts, eShop scrolling, retro shopping, Netflix to watch, my own personal creative projects, an immesurable amont of media to go to, other games, social media, oh, and also work, that compete against Oil Panic's time with me
