I WAS THERE FOR THAT! haha that thing is an echoing beast, and god it's an old one. Funny how even though the blower's inside, you can still hear the air hissing from it!
this is my home town and believe it or not that aint no tornado siren thats the same WW2 air raid siren they were installed in time of the start of WW2 now only used for tornados or whatever elts they use them for it sends chills down my spine my gramps was a WW2 vet ive heard the stories
the t-bolt 1000 on top of the norman OK court house, had an echo when it started, plus the loud blower...sadly, it no longer runs because of a new siren system...
So hang on, was this the only 1000 in the city? A news video from 1980 recently surfaced of featuring what seems to be a 1000 running and multiple people are saying it’s dubbed over.

Actually, the cold war.
This siren was on top of the Wichita Tower in Wichita Falls, Tx, however it has recently been removed and is no longer found here.
Know where it went or who it went to?

Yup, this was the only 1000 in WF. it was a late 50's install, with the rest of them being 1980's C-Series 1000T's.
What blower does that siren have?
It had a 6M A1.
It was a late ‘50s install, so it could have had a 5M A2 blower.
