Whats crazy is that Fed is COOKING everyone right now but Ben OWNS HIM. He will have to sdjust his play style to beat Ben consistently, or even 30% of the time.
Yeah I think the biggest difference against Ben is his crazy anticipation. He just cuts off shots that work against everyone else. I saw this match in person, and you could feel Fed's frustration early on.
The PPA has chosen the best people to comment on championship matches. They are smooth and knowledgeable!

I thought since Ben almost lost to QD and Fed was destroying everyone, that Fed would destroy BJ too. But it was the other way around.
I think Ben’s thing is someone might beat him 1-2x if they’re different enough of a style he’s not used to but it’s very difficult after that because he studies their patterns and is obviously the best at anticipation paired with the athletic ability to execute.
Federico is a great player. He is destroying almost everyone, and he's making a good living. His problem is when he first decided to model his play style after Ben's. He's become very successful in doing that but when he plays Ben, he's playing against the master of Fed's style of play. You can't master the master.
Honestly, I think the problem is mental for Federico. I could tell after he complained about the ball that he was going to lose. For some reason Ben Johns is in Federico’s head. You can see how happy/emotional he gets after winning any point.

A lot of attempts to hit a winner from bad positions by the runner-up vs a lot of attempts from bad positions to make his opponent stretch, and then moving to where the reply could be expected, by the champion.
It's crazy how hard Ben owns Fed, but Fed doesn't lose to the people Ben does.
