Patrick Montel is probably the best athletics commentator in the world. On the last 100m he say : "With Jimmy, come on Jimmy go ahead, behind Usain Bolt alone in the world Jimmy !!! Jimmy second !!! Jimmy second !!! Jimmy second !!! Usain Bolt, the silver medal for the french team yes !!
yeah but that's not the official time, it's tv time which is just to give an idea of the time for the people at home, the official time is the one posted on the time clock on the field.
have you ever been clipped running full speed!? I've had something similar to this happen and the guy smacked my arm coming around the turn and when I tell you I have NEVER fallen so hard just by having my stride broken... it's the NOT expecting to get hit that will really mess you up
Jamaica are the kings of races. No one can beat Team Jamaica! 2012 Olympics will be interesting to watch, when Usain Bolt is 200 meters ahead of all the other runners. :D Usain Bolt Sir! We love you!
Darvis Patton ran a great 3rd leg: hard luck on the fall really - the US was looking at a strong 2nd place there, and probably a national record. When you're running a corner at that speed, a slight touch is all it takes to go over.
******* Tough luck for team USA, good effort indeed, just one of those unfortunate things. A healthy Asafa, Bolt, Blake and Michael Frater has the potential to shave that world record if conditions are favorable. Gatlin, Gay, Ryan Bailey and company is also a strong team! London going to be exiting. Hope the injuries will stay away and competition will be at its strongest! Trinidad and France probably will be in the mix also. Good luck to all the teams...
You have to consider that the the sprinters are getting a running start as the handovers are done at speed, as opposed to 100m sprinting where you start from the blocks.
@Uchihaace001 : Dude...I check and u are absolutely right...Bolt cleared the finish line already in 36.8 or 36.9.... Either there is a problem with the clock they showed on TV or the World Record for 4X100 is even lesser..
Well, Carl Lewis 100m personal best is 9.86s, but the US team he anchored ran a world record of 37.4s which stood for 16 years. That averaged 9.35s. It is not abnormal for 4x100m.
@mimzi247 You're right. Dix would have been a good 2m ahead of Bolt but that would have quickly disappeared. Bolt would have needed only two strides to catch up to Dix. I watch this race probably 100 times from all possible means and the U.S. was ahead. I don't think Jamaica is as fast as the times says though Bolt makes people not question it. I don't think there will be any world breaking times in london.
Lemaitre really streaked along there on his Leg. But the Jamaican guy just pulled away from that French hand off, and was in better position to hand off for the final Leg. Bolt is just too powerful, and 6'5" certainly helps!
No, I know. Because you never seen him and suddenly he competes with the best and within months he was one of the fastest runner of ALL time! At least he should have been in the jamaica junior team or something and show off from there on.
Poor Doc Patton. While he may have been guilty of messing up in the PAST this was NOT his fault. He was running a very good third leg and was doing his job. It was Henry A.A's fault. Patton copped a lot of criticism for this when was unfair.
Appuntamento rimandato a Londra 2012! :)
What a great commentator with pure passion.
Patrick Montel
+ProjectAnimationXS Lool he was just saying Jimmy Jimmy... YESSS! dude gave 0 fucks about anyone else but France.
@@ryderwashington4199 it’s French tv so ..
Juste whaou
Depuis Blake a disparu
Usain's and Blake's sprint still give me chills
Bolt and Blake wah!!
Depuis Blake a disparu
I lost count how many times I re-watched this race, each time it is still amazing to see.
Yohan Blake was eating up the track.
Golden Sun yes he is
I love when people can appreciate a great performance even though their team didn't win.
The French comentator is just amazing -3
2:10 - 2:20
Total domination by Yohan Blake. Between him and Bolt this year's olympics will be insane!!
it´s a beautiful language ....
ya3tik seha khoooo très magnifique
Jimmy is the last French running, and the man speaking (Patrick Montel) is extremely demonstrative when a French athlete is in a podium
At 2:12, Yohan Black was too fast like Flash!! Wow!
Usain's form is so perfect.
Pouaaaaah Blake a fait fort
9.26 x 4 = 37.04
...
AMAziinG !
Terrific pass from Blake to Bolt and they didn't even have Powell who was excellent in the Olympic relay. They have some squad!
First 200m French-Team destroyed everybody. To bad there are not 4x Lemaitre.
You mean 2x Lemaitre 2x Vicaut
yeah but that's not the official time, it's tv time which is just to give an idea of the time for the people at home, the official time is the one posted on the time clock on the field.
which is the 1st? and who decided that?
I love replay cams like the one at 3:55 - 4:13
I have to say, the French handoffs in this video are the sickest I've ever seen.
@Flash303HD
Who was that team next to USA? Because if you look close enough the last runner made the American man fall over..
have you ever been clipped running full speed!? I've had something similar to this happen and the guy smacked my arm coming around the turn and when I tell you I have NEVER fallen so hard just by having my stride broken... it's the NOT expecting to get hit that will really mess you up
Merci M marchand
is that yohan blake running the 3rd leg?
Was it a national record for them?
This guy made me want to learn French now!
He is just screaming jimmy Jimmy ,you 'll think bolt is not the winner
Jamaica are the kings of races. No one can beat Team Jamaica! 2012 Olympics will be interesting to watch, when Usain Bolt is 200 meters ahead of all the other runners. :D
Usain Bolt Sir! We love you!
No, their NR (37.79) was set back in the 1990 European Championships and was also a WR until the United States got it back the following year.
Darvis Patton ran a great 3rd leg: hard luck on the fall really - the US was looking at a strong 2nd place there, and probably a national record. When you're running a corner at that speed, a slight touch is all it takes to go over.

Adieu Monsieur Corn!

Way to go guys - Bolt is the best period !!
That announcer is hella impressed with runner up status.

yohan is so faaaast ! wow respect

the u.s third runer is amazingly fast,,,
rockz , awesome
jibi deuxiemme!! jibi deuxiemme!! jibi deuxiemme!! LMAO. Best. Commentator. Ever.
That's the end of the exchange zone, which is 90m from the line; Bolt has 100m to go at about 27.9 - 28.0
I love the camera pan starting at 0:25.
Is it just me or at 3:40 bolt finishes at 36.7
@toblerusseta did u know u are watching a French TV recording ?
Now this is what all commentators should speak like!
jamaica is the boss for the next 100 years
Who is jimmy?
Jimmy Vicaut
this is awesome
check 3:40 bolt crosses the line with the time 36.8s. simply amazing!
the first runner of Usa was full of steroids 0:21
or he just works really hard at lifting weights and making himself better
@AthleticsGirl98 yup. he did
@Uchihaace001 : Dude...I check and u are absolutely right...Bolt cleared the finish line already in 36.8 or 36.9.... Either there is a problem with the clock they showed on TV or the World Record for 4X100 is even lesser..

He's french, so he support France, and for us, the secund place is a huge result.
@mimzi247 You're right. Dix would have been a good 2m ahead of Bolt but that would have quickly disappeared. Bolt would have needed only two strides to catch up to Dix. that was awesome
is he flying?
you are right

Why thank you :D
3 European team Well done
No, I know. Because you never seen him and suddenly he competes with the best and within months he was one of the fastest runner of ALL time! At least he should have been in the jamaica junior team or something and show off from there on.
2:08 Yohan Blake FUARK!!
one of the first time Bolt has properly ran through the finish line.
37seconds huh... I can't even get out of my bed in 37seconds
4 OR LES 4 PLUS RAPIDE AU MONDE, YOHAN BLAKE LE MEILLEUR VIREUR AU MONDE.
Muy buen!
that was amazing how fast USA was. But Jamaica won with a short lead.
Poor Doc Patton. While he may have been guilty of messing up in the PAST this was NOT his fault. He was running a very good third leg and was doing his job. It was Henry A.A's fault. Patton copped a lot of criticism for this when was unfair.
Wait what just happened?
Le petit jimmi ???? il grand maintenant
