As usual, the Gramophone (UK) reviewer pegs this as their first choice of available recordings; I was present at the fabled Town Hall NYC performance (Foss, Sessions et al) for my first exposure to this unusual and bewitching piece. Would love to see a full stage presence performance to capture the Joycean interplay among principals.......
