Here are the links for some things that were featured in the video. This video is not monetized for me because I used music that directs all profits to the creator of the music. That's fine by me, but I'd appreciate it if you use one of the links below to do your Amazon shopping. It won't cost you a penny more, but I'll get some scratch from the sale.

Thank you. Stealth camping in a minivan is the smart thing.

That's one reason I use a curtain between the cabin and front seats, a lot warmer.

Awesome info! We traveled in a Ford Transit for about 4 years. In cold weather we had to stay where we could plug in. I wasn't brave enough to try the off-grid options you are showing here. Awesome! Looking forward to talking with you at Q24!

I think the clay pot was used to demonstrate thermal storage and it's use has been misunderstood and wildly spread.
The instructor would heat up the clay pot with a candle for 10 minutes and then remove the candle and monitor the pots temperature for 10 minutes.
Then related it to brick vs wood frame houses, fire rocks for camping, etc.

I agree that its use has been misconstrued. However, it still won’t make more heat than what comes out of the candle (not saying that you are implying that). Thermal mess is best when there is a surplus of energy to absorb and then re-radiate later. I was thinking about all the people that post in groups to “get a candle and clay pot to keep you warm” on that part. Of course at the temps you camp in, they’d probably need to light the cushions on fire to stay warm, LOL

I have a Honda Odyssey that i use for a tow van for my job, and have a sleeping arrangement in it similar to yours. It's the 2nd van ive installed a Chinese diesel heater in and it works great! The 2KW version is more than enough for a van, and I've had no diesel smell in either van. I can run mine on the lowest settings all night long and go a week before refilling the 2 gal tank. Dry heat and over night peace of mind was what lead me to the diesel heater, but also it's a safety feature in case the van breaks down in the winter, i know i can survive in a storm and until help can arrive!

Cool, I’m glad it’s working for you! That’s a really great point about having backup heat in a storm (or a breakdown). Thanks for sharing!

I had actually only seen the full sized ones before stumbling across this last year. It works well. Thanks for your continued support!

So glad to see you back! I meant to comment on your last video and I got caught up and forgot. Of course 1 thing that you're leaving out is the very popular Chinese diesel heater. Popular because it works really well and takes minimal energy. Of course you are having to deal with diesel. The other point it's popularity is cost as opposed to paying for the name brand webastos et cetera. They do produce a dry heat and It is very very warm. Honestly I just hate dealing with diesel. I have 1 and I would rather not carry diesel but My solar system is still a pretty much the same size- 200 watts and I have AGM batteries but now I have 200 amp hours. And I never have really used an inverter. I have 1 but I think it's like a 500 watt.

Good to hear from you! I'm going to try and put out more stuff this year, but for the next couple of weeks I'll be getting ready to head to Quartzsite for Marc Guido's rally (Marc does the @GrandAdventure channel). I didn't cover diesel because I haven't used one, however, I agree with you. I don't like to deal with diesel. If you've ever had a diesel vehicle, everything starts smelling like diesel after a couple of fill-ups. Maybe someday when I can keep the tank outside on a rack or something. 200 amp hours eh? Here I thought that I was the only one in a small vehicle with that much power! Thank you for your continued support (I hope the videos are getting a little better...maybe? LOL)

@@OdysseyCamper I always loved your videos just fine. I always thought that they were informative educational and amusing in many ways. I've always loved your dry sense of humor and your sarcastic wit at times . LOL
Yeah it's still AGM batteries I can't afford lithium. I've actually got like another 240 watts of solar but there are portable units. I'm sure I could connect them together with some y connectors and 400 watts on occasion.

I've yet to try it but I think the Envi wall panel heaters are a good option. We have used them in the house and they do a great job of heating a medium size room. They run at about 500w and are cool to the touch. Put one on a timer and run it every 20 minutes, and that's 1300 watts in an 8 hour period. In theory, anyway.
    And, they have a thermostat.
There is a similar device, the EconoHome Wall Mount Space Heater Panel, that runs at 250w I might try first.
