In December 2024, DC Studios greenlit the Clayface film for the DCU with a script written by Flanagan and a release date of September 11, 2026. Reeves was confirmed to be producing alongside Lynn Harris of his company 6th & Idaho Productions. Filming was expected to begin in early 2025, and the studio was searching for a director while Flanagan was committed to his The Exorcist film (2026) and a Carrie television series.

I just watched this again, I don't think this version of Clayface has ever been depicted before. Its phenominal, I always wondered how you make Clayface a realistic Batman villain, this is how you do it!! And Bateman as Clayface is an inspired choice, I never would've thought of that but so fitting. I hope WB and DC watch your trailers. Honestly that scene in batman v superman where Alfred delivers that line of dialogue near the start of the film, "Everythings changed, men fall from the sky, Gods hurl thunderbolts, that's how it starts....." etc, in your fan trailer for bvs you have a clip of Jeromy Irons saying, "Our world is changing, and your just a man." same camera angle same tone! You understand the vibe of these thriller/drama type super hero movies don't you! So brilliant, defo my fave trailer editing youtuber by far, you always have been since August of 2013. You just got this creative flair to your editing, the scene choices, the sound editing, it all tells a clear story. Top tier trailer editor man. Are you self taught?

Holy shapeshifters Batman, this is epic! Clayface is such an underrated Batman villain, love how you showed his full potential beyond the Giant Mud Monster. Great use of The Thing, such a good framing device. 5 out of 5 Oscars, stellar work!

This was really good. Love the editing and mood and tone you present. While there are other characters whose spin-offs I do want to see more of (for example, I NEED some more of Zoe Kravitz's Catwoman), this would easily convince me on the idea of the character getting his solo series
I loved the editing, the cast choice, The Thing references and importance to the plot, it is such a original idea, I loved everything!!!! The only thing that I didn't get it is, Clayface is a shape shifter, clone or a doppelgänger?
Thanks! I wanted it to be kinda ambiguous but in my mind he's a shape shifter, the doppleganger body double etc is how everyone else investigating is trying to understand since in Reeves world this would be the first dabble into the heavy supernatural element

Thanks man, its basically Kurt Russel being pissed at his classic The Thing being remade lol but in the film hes was the lead in a 80s horror icon called SomeThing which is now being remade, so now,under the guise of an innocent randomer (Bateman) proceeds to attack and kill everyone involved in the up to date remake

Im sure he can, im hoping it will border on the supernatural but never quite have an explanation, like in this case is it actually a shape shifter or evil dopplegangers suddenly emerging lol
Another great trailer. I would also like to see poison ivy in this universe. I mean, I know she has powers and apparently that batman universe is realistic, but she can easily fit in as a plant-obsessed, chemical-using killer like the animated series.
