I own an insulation company. We have 3 trailer rigs. Every other Friday is payday. We end those days at 3pm. I get knocked on for it by my buddies in the trades. At 3 on those days we ask the guys to clean the trailer. They take 30 mins and they thanks everything, wipe everything down, grease the trailer, give it a quick wipe on the outside and they’re off by 3:30. They love it and it’s great for us. By business partner and I use that time to take inventory, order supplies, contact suppliers or schedule maintenance. It works for everyone and every other Friday we’re all home by 5 instead of closing up at 5. So far it has worked well and our retention is really high.
A friend of mine has a trailer similar to yours. he added 400 watt Solar Panels to the roof, mounted an inverter on the wall linked to his tool chargers. As long as the sun shines, the tool batteries charge. Over the course of weekends all batteries are fully charged. he went on to add a lithium battery bank, so now the battery charges work even at night on job sites. Batteries are always charged. great add on.
Add a 12' cable tray cage down the one side of the trailer roof, load all the Stabila levels in … easy to see whats in there, easy access and safe for transport.
This is a good book. Does provide a step by step introduction to how to build things th-cam.com/users/postUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 , also does offer some steps. Includes pictures to give you ideas for layouts and such. If you are looking for a guide, this is not exactly what you want. But if you are trying to familiarize yourself with the way that pole barn building and other out buildings, are made, then this will work just as you need it to. A few things in this book are a barn (of course), detached garage, storage building, and coops.
Just wanted to give you props on your overall representation and respect for your craft. Keeps me motivated to always continue learning and stepping up my game.
Been cleaning out my buddies dads shop. Hasn't been cleaned thoroughly in 55 years. One week in and we have made 3 dump runs so far. Have found a lot of cool stuff from the early fifties. Found a few things still new in box.
Greg needs to mic up for days like this. You probably don't want to cover up your decal wall but....mount a length of PVC pipe, probably 6", with a threaded plug on one end, cap on the other just long enough to hold your levels.
Just put 4" PVC pipe on the ceiling with the back of the pipe running close to the ramp door. Different length pipes for different levels and they're all a couple inches from the back door so they don't fall out going down the road. Put some foam in the front few inches to give them something soft to touch against. Also some sort of protection on the inside length to protect them while bouncing along going down the road. Problem solved. That'll be $8.00 please....
Just getting to this series. Love the trailer. Pretty efficient work area. An idea for the levels and front cabinets… Could you move the drill storage under the top cabinet and use the wall over Greg’s coffee table for your levels? Also, putting some cubbies in the upper cabinet for silicone tube storage, might help with the clutter up there.
Always look forward to seeing your work trailer. From professional to another, that’s a stagie way to hook up to 120v. Mount an built in port with the weather cover. Seeing an extension cord going through a metal doorway makes me shutter. They’re not that different to install. Love your show.
Nice set up look into solar panels and lithium batteries and inverter would give you 110 in trailer all the time would help at job sites with no power I RV and have a setup that allows me to be off grid just like I was on the grid
Yeah, today it is really easy to have a 5kWh LFP battery and one or two 400W panels to run the essentials. Only a little harder for a system that can run a suitable air compressor. The roof is big enough to have 4-5 panels on it.
Put the support for your levels in the roof just above where they are on the table and you will have them out of the and be able to see your sticker collection
24 hours work for 8 hours pay....poor Greg😂😂😂 I'd like to see his face when he finds out. Order and cleanliness first of all ... excellent. I get a lot of satisfaction from cleaning and tidying up my van and cleaning all my beloved tools.
Solid tool trailer I'm super jealous. I think cool woodworking slab countertops would it give the edge. I'm sure the plywood is prolly more functional. You got enough Milwaukee pack out to play deal or no deal. Portland cement takes 20 days to properly cure 24 hour build remember Ty Pennington. Great video thank you
The only thing I learned from this video is that you seem like a really cool guy to work for! Also the video was entertaining!! By the way…that Milwaukee light looks like it could illuminate a football stadium!! 😮
you need an old milk crate to haul your batteries back and forth from the trailer to the charger. never know when one is going to fall and bust because it hit the ground or something else just right. that would be bad.
did I spy that you might have had some flex battery tool in there. I have a few of them now and have been impressed with what its done so far but i only do weekend projects stuff. my fav tool so far has been one of the 7 inch saws.
For the fasteners, is there room to stock two containers of the fasteners you want on hand? That way you always know that if there's just one container, you need to restock, and if you use up a container in a given day, you can rely on there being a another container on the trailer.
Would you be able to do a ‘money management’ episode in the future? I own a roofing/siding business and I’m just curious about your views on business financials. Debt? No debt? How to manage cash flow ups and downs, payroll, crew size and production vs. quality. You look like you have your stuff together so I figured I’d ask your take on money management. Thanks!
What happened to the cut hub? I was watching one of your old videos about the CH as I’m considering it, but I remembered your recent tool trailer video and I couldn’t recall if you had built a space for the cut up. Are you no longer using it?
Nice to start a job with a clean organized trailer. How much time do you save not having to climb over stuff and searching for what you need. Not to mention the safety aspect of a cluttered work space. Nice job. Maybe that should be Greg’s new job. Organize trailer at the end of every day. HA HA
I was going to ask this on your previous video but whatever happened to the renovations you were doing on your home ? Been forever since we had a follow up. Thanks
Greg: "We're two guys, we don't need seven drills!" Kyle: The look of blasphemy My organization rules are if the batteries aren't in the tool they're in the charger.
I gave you a gift idea for your level storage when you toured our jobsite trailer the day after you delivered our prize package from the Monon Million Subscriber Tool Giveaway at Iowa Lakes. We still love it :) fun video Kyle! We'll take that new MX fuel light that was delivered if you don't have a home for it ;)
@@RRBuildings yeah man, I know. I was just giving you a hard time. I really do like your trailer setup! Did our Iowa Lakes stickers make it on the wall? My guys were just asking me the other day.
After you do your 24hr live stream, edit down the video to 2-3 hours, for those of us who don't watch live streams. Be sure to record it all in 2160, even if you cannot live stream it in that res (save it as 2160, and output to live stream in, say, 720). Oh, and please, for goodness sake, pay Greg for the full 24 hours!
The costs of disorganization is paid in time and money lost. Wasn't the whole point to setting up the tool trailers was that everything had a place so that it would be easy to but back.

I'd love a fastener episode. Detailing all the various fasteners and their best practice applications.
I think it's about time Greg gets mic'd up, I wanna hear more of his input!

A little more complicated than need be. Charger has transformer so turns it back into 12v DC anyway, cut the wires to that and no inverter meeded

24 hour build would net some hilarious outtakes!

Yes. Use clear PVC pipes, like those used in dust collection systems.
Good ideas 💡
@@doubledarefan What is the benefit of the clear? So you can see what's in the pipe?

Doesn’t have to be that way… just was easy to do. There is a port hole under the front I can put a wire theu
Clean work space clean mind, its worth it to spend time to clean and sort shit out.

Folding saw horses or ply trestles (like Awesome Framers) will give you more room.
Get some big plastic tubs that are labeled for the small stuff(nails, fasteners, etc)
Thanks Kyle & Greg! 👍😁
24hr livestream build, hell yea!
Looking forward to the shop cleanup

God bless you both.

I call dibs on your old Impacts heh I dont have one yet been wanting one bad. I have Milwaukee and DeWalt cordless platforms.
Beatiful vídeo
We’re two guys, why do we need 7 drills? Kudos, Greg.

So nice job extra tools you don’t need let me know I can pas for😅
How many hats did you try on?
24hr build 👍
Your trailer is amazing. Colt sticker 👍
I have a nice Wells Cargo Cargo Wagon that would make someone willing to pay for it a good tool trailer.
dude do it!!!!!!
Greg: "We're two guys, We don't need 7 drills" ........... .......... Greg was never heard from again!!!!!
Hello everyone 🖐🖐🖐
The moment he said, we don’t need more drills, and you stopped and looked at the camera I died lol
Are the levels magnetic? Stick em to the ceiling 😅
If not, add a self-adhesive magnetic strip to each one.
Wonder what the build quality is like after 15 hours lol
Love when new tools show up, I’m like a kid in a candy shop!
I’m one guy and have 4-5 impact drivers. I know I have a tool problem.
Einen Hammer mit Magnet gibt es. Von Picard... zumindest in Deutschland 😜
What’s your thoughts on the new keen work boots? They look good, I am just curious about how durable they are?

What model was the new Dewalt impact drill you received? Look slim and built for work.

Kyle, how many different hats did you wear in 1 video. The trailer looks great by the way.

How about can you fix that bathroom in 24 months?
Can you share the model of your custom trailer and size ?
Do you use the cut hub still
Heck yeah
Hmm, no….. most of us will sleep through it…. and you and Gregg will end up hating each other 😁🇬🇧🇺🇸
