      Yup, What I learned (and I am not sure I explained it well) was that with this copper nickel alloy stuff, when using the hydraulic flare tool you can over compress the second step of the double flare and it does not allow the flare to conform and seal to the fitting. Once I stopped squishing the crap out of it they sealed fine.. Took way too long to figure that out but now I know.

    I buy my lines at Canadian Tire .. they come in lots of different lengths .. And very cheap ..

      No, I am using that Cooper - nickel alloy stuff. What I learned (and I am not sure I explained it well) but with the hydraulic flare tool you can over compress the second step of the couple later and it does not allow the flare to conform and seal to the fitting. once I stopped sqishing the crap out of it they sealed fine..
