@@retroCombs Thank you; I'm thinking the order was in December or January. I had an order before that I forgot about or did not confirm or hit the final button, I do not know. Hopefully "this summer" works out.
@@gregclare They have told me twice that they expect shipments sometime "this summer". In addition to getting the boards made, they have to come up with good working floppy drives. That may be a problem too???
@@Daveyk021 Yes. I don't really mind waiting. I suppose I'm just happy to be somewhere in the queue. In the meantime I have plenty of Retro systems keeping me busy. In fact my only concern is whether I'll be able to find enough time to really dive deep into the MEGA65, when it finallly arrives! While I've been waiting I also got myself a Foenix F256K, which is due any day and is quite an exciting 8-bit platform for developing on (not to mention rather sexy looking!). 🤓
I officially love this channel.
Sending the love back. Thanks for the kind comment. 📌
Great job retrocombs! :-)
Much appreciated!
Received my Mega65 today and your infos were very helpful! Thx & Cheers from Germany 😃
Many thanks for your generosity! Stay tuned, Chapter 5 is just around the corner.
waiting for mine what should come in June - I wish it would have USB, but still awesome!
What would you use the USB port for?
@@retroCombs memory sticks, hard drives, input/output devices - all that stuff i'm used to work with my laptop
I see. Not sure this is on their roadmap. They are trying to keep it as original as possible. But they did include an Ethernet port...
I ordered mine almost 2 years ago. I hope and pray mine is also coming next month.
@@jamessm4401You should be in the Summer drop, correct?
Very nice. Well presented!
Thanks so much. It was a fun one too.
@2:42 The joystick connector is DE-9. DIN connectors are round (e.g. serial bus port on this machine).
Good catch. I'll add that to the Errata.
Very nice! Helped the treadmill time go by quicker as a side bonus!
Kind of a late time for the treadmill! 🏃🏻♂️
@@retroCombs gotta get my steps in when I can!
Already spilled beer on my userguide .. oops
That just gives the manual a more authentic look...and smell. 😂
I bet you could install a hinge to make it easier to open the 65 up without screws.
A hinge install. Now there's an idea that Commodore should have thought about in the day. Oh, wait! They did on the PET. 😂
I've had one on order for several months. The last I was told, is "this summer".
Keeping my fingers crossed for a summer shipment for you.
Only several months! I think I ordered mine about a year ago. Hopefully I’ll get one in 2024. 🤔

I also have a box that didnt include a mega65 ...
heh - Trenz sent me minty one after UPS wrecked the one containing the unit ( which was unharmed )
Noooo. Really! They sent an empty box. Ouch. That must have been disappointing.
@@retroCombs I thin k you misunderstood. I was unhappy with the state ups left the box in. Trnez happilly sent me a minty box to relpace it.
Ah. Got it now.
The battery is not a CR2032, it is actually an ECR1220.
It's a CR2032 for the new batch. I was trying to get ahead of it for future MEGA65 releases. Make sense or did I just confuse it more?
wait a minute... was that a new tank mouse!?
It was. I'll update the video description.
