- From Los Angeles, Dengue Fever creates psychedelic surf-rock overlaid with traditional Cambodian melodies that Paste Magazine calls, "the maturing, polyglot sounds of America's urban future." Cambodian Chhom Nimol fronts the band and sings mostly in her native language. She's backed by a hurricane ensemble that includes guitar, farfisa (a small, Italian-made organ), bass, drums, and saxophone.
This divine music is from another world.🔊THX!!!
I first heard them on the soundtrack of City of Ghosts. Fell in love and have been listening to them since.
I fell in love with Cambodian 60s music on a trip there. Later found out about this band and coincidentally saw them play while on another trip to Cambodia. Foreign Correspondents Club, Phnom Penh.
Saw them live. Amazing.
Awe young nimol is so cute. Her vocal also banging🔥
This is awesome! Great band! Brings me back to my time in Cambodia. And Nimol is a Cambodian angel. Love the voice.
I remember when we first saw this 🥰 just assumed they were from Wausau WI and was so impressed like that's what's up Wisconsin must not suck to bad if we've got bands like this lol well I know better now but it doesn't matter where they are from they are awesome I've been hooked ever since ❤
They have written some awesome songs.
The best of the best.....allows a treat to hear Dengue Fever
This is awesome! I love this band and hearing music from the ancestral land❤
I used to say that I hate saxophone in rock music. This guy changed my mind.
Ya es una de mis bandas favoritas
wow
Second song is the best song ❤
Any shows coming up , Los Angeles or Colorado ?
what year was this recorded? the album they showed, Venus On Earth, dropped in 2008, and the host said something about their latest album...
🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿!
A real mix. The vocal in the second song takes me to India or Sri-Lanka. The Cambodian mix is excellent
A 30-minute music hour that is 40 minutes long.
They deserve a big break
