Love the play of light and shadows reflecting on the surfaces of the room. The look, feel, and sound floods the entire space and draws you into the scene. The fish light on the nightstand adds a creepy-cool touch, brilliant.
I love the cool imagery. And that anglerfish lamp is absolutely my favorite part of this. It's gorgeous and very helpful for ambience while I'm editing books!

Hear me out, since you're not as big a fan of the brighter colors, make another underwater room similar to this one except it's in deep, dark water with creepy fish swimming outside. It would be more in your comfort zone but also a fun challenge! (Maybe I just want a spooky version of this haha)
I suspect the room comes with some sort of magic charm that lets you breathe underwater. Either that, or we're already the sort of creature that can breathe underwater in this particular universe. ...Hopefully it's one of those two; I'd prefer not to drown, personally. ^_^b
