  • Many teachers think that Free Conversation is just having a random conversation with a student. Having a “directionless” conversation that doesn’t have a clear learning goal is a big NO NO!
    These are the goals of Free Conversation:
    1. Help student develop fluency in speaking English
    2. Help students identify their areas for improvements in terms of grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary
    3. Help students prepare for examinations
    4. Help the student enjoy learning English
    At the end of your class your students should say to themselves:
    “Wow! I have learned a lot!”, or “I had a great time learning English!”
    TIMECODES:
    00:00 INTRO
    00:35 Start of class
    00:58 Free Conversation TIP 1
    2:26 Continuation of class
    3:01 Free Conversation TIP 2
    3:45 Continuation of class (games & activities)
    4:41 Free Conversation TIP 3
    6:00 Continuation of class
    10:11 Closing

    Hi teacher Karen. Thanks a lot for your support. May I know are the students Chinese or Japanese?

    • @TeachaKaren
      @TeachaKaren  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The students in Native camp are not affected by the double reduction policy in China. They are Japanese and Taiwanese students only :)

      I can relate, sometimes, it also depends on the students. There will always be challenging students LOL

    Do they behave in the same way as Japanese students, Teacha? Japanese were too sensitive.

    • @TeachaKaren
      @TeachaKaren  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends, we reallycan't generalize our students based on nationality because it depends on their upbringing, their classroom behavior, personality and preferences. It also depends on the relationship with you. My student, Mickey used to be very shy and reserved 4 weeks ago
