This anime really struck home because I have very prominent front teeth and I’ve been very self conscious about them ever since people have been pointing them out in middle school and high school. I always cover my mouth when I laugh or never smile big because then they’d just notice my teeth. But after watching this anime I kinda like them a little, and even someone said my teeth give me character lol. Just love yourself !

I felt like I could really relate to the two main characters because like Smile, I am very insecure about my teeth and try to not make them very noticeable (I have an overbite and I hate it) and like Cherry, I'm quite introverted and have a hard time speaking to people and doing public speaking so I enjoyed the fact that I could relate to the characters so much :)

True, but it was still his haikus being sprayed onto buildings. The fact there were zero problems caused by that was a bit weird. It is pretty much my only peeve with the film. Everything else is awesome!

Even in countries that people would argue are very strict on grafiti, if the person isn't caught doing it there's no punishment. Which is the case most of the time. They can only punish the people they know did it. It'd be out of order to assume someone was guilty under the basis that the artwork they posted publicly online has been grafiti'd somewhere. If that were the case, you could just get someone you dislike arrested by grafiti'ing their recent social media posts on a wall and making the police aware anonymously.
I just watched it and it was actually really good omg. The animation was clean and simple ands the colors popped. The story wasnt boring and i enjoyed the entire movie♡🌸

Prior to _Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop_ the only other Netflix animated project recorded at Igloo Music was _Scissor Seven,_ however, this is Igloo's first anime dub recorded at the studio. On top of that, when compared to most English dubs of Anime which cast whomever they want (regardless of their race & ethnicity) this is the *ONLY* dub so far to have the entire voice cast be of Asian descent, the only exception is Sam Lavagnino (Catbug) the voice of Beaver who is the only non-Asian actor in the dub of this film.
Why would it matter? It's a cast of voices, not a cast of actors. They choose the voice based on how good it sounds to a character. This dub of the video is the brazilian dub. As much as Brazil holds the largest number of japanese people outside Japan, I doubt there is more than one asian or two in this - maybe none - and that is no problem, because the voice acting is alright
@@barbiemary67 Why make a huge deal of it, I just was noticing how the English dub for this film compared to the other Netflix English dubs and other English dubs of anime done by Crunchyroll, Viz, FUNImation, and Sentai which utilize a wide variety of actors regardless of voice and ethnicity this one utilized Asian actors for the characters (sans Beaver) instead of casting a well-known voice actor like Bryce Papenbrook, Cristina Vee, Zach Aguilar, or Cherami Leigh.

I've seen comments like this many times (almost always by americans) which isn't a bad thing, your comment was super polite and only a thing you wanted to share. I like this movie, I watched it during oldyear evening, the fire works in the end fitted the anticipation to 00:00 ! This is one of my fav. Scenes. I also liked the color pallet.

She shouldn’t have to hide her face I think she is Beautiful I wish my parents so it like it’s not a bad thing they say that it makes you look ugly and weird and your friends will laugh at you… 😢 My friend he is getting braces on march 19th.. and if he needs support I’ll give that I know I’m late but I needed to see this. I kept getting tears in my eyes 😭 If she was real I would want her to be my friend… honestly she looks cute! 😇
Never had braces but sick that some people think and say braces is making you look ugly is horrible,like you use them to fix your teeth but after watching this cheers me up bcs she finally feels confident with them in the end
