#12 is the sh*t. I realized I've been watching so much fitness content that I don't want to exercise at all because I want every workout to be "optimal". The most important things are that I get moving and listen to my body. Trying to do everything at once has lead to burnout and injury, and frankly, emotional shutdown. I'd rather make sure I bike to and from work every day and do pilates and weight training occasionally than burnout trying to do a perfect routine. I want happiness in my life again, not pain and boredom. Here's to finding balance again:).
literally as a trainer i feel the same. its my job to know the optimal things but i dont always apply that to myself because it leads to overthinking and not listening to your body! thats so awesome that you have found the things that make you happy :)
I feel this! I spent about 15 months going to the gym. I loved it at first and got some initial results... but then I started to obsess about refining my workouts and optimising my diet to support my results - AND I PLATUED!! I didn't get results ever again. And I was no longer enjoying any of it. I got sick and that caused me to have to take a month or so off. Then I got a dog and couldn't find the time to both walk him and hit the gym. Walking out in nature with my new bestie was just so much more pleasant than being in a climate controlled room with harsh lighting and loud music, so I ditched my whole membership. I had a few pieces of workout equipment from when I was a PT in my younger years and I had a few fun fitness games on my switch. As lame as it might sound to a committed gym bunny, I turned to my switch for exercise, with a small amount of weight training. It has been fun! I don't obsess over what I eat anymore either. I just aim for protein and fibre to be the main focus of any meal. So that could be a fruit and veggie smoothie in the morning with some greek yoghurt in it and some nuts and seeds to chew on, then a sandwich with cheese and salad plus a piece of fruit, or some pasta or rice noodles with veggies and cheese or a small amount of meat. Just focusing on moving my body in a way that engages my interest has completely revolutionised my whole attitude and approach in a super holistic way! And now the pressure is off, if I'm tired, I can rest without feeling like I'm somehow ruining an entire fitness plan!!
I love the idea of a sleep audit. I find in the summer I naturally wake up early but now that it is fall I find I want to wake up later. I changed my alarm to 30min later last week and I feel SO MUCH BETTER.
Keltie! You are apart of my dopamine menu. Whether I need to convince myself to cook, fold laundry, or run with something uplifting in the background, or just wanna watch something positive and informative when I'm down. :)
@@KeltieOConnor Yes, PLEASE a winter video! That time of year is always tricky for me, especially when it starts to get dark super early. Would love to hear your tips and tricks!
I love the concept of looking for wasted hours. I too find that between 10pm-midnight I literally just waste time. I am going to try working on going to bed by 10pm so I can wake early to be productive. Thank you for this insight ☺
Something that I like to do instead of new years goals are seasonal goals. My life looks different throughout the entire year so I go with the flow and make my new years’ “goal(s)” more of a “focus.” “What do I want to focus on this year?”And some of my seasonal goals mirror my areas of focus and personal values that I want to be more intentional about that year. (Note: Just make sure it is a value you truly hold and not one imposed on you by others or solely for external validation you may not feel as fulfilled as you thought when you accomplished it which sucks lol)
I heard recently about the 12 week year and it's changed everything for me. I found that I kind of skimped on everything for the first half of the year because "I have time to get it done" then got super stressed and rushed later in the year. Basically the concept is the same as this video, you find your goals and assign them to a quarter of the year (which could totally be seasons!) And then you have 12 weeks to get it done! I got so many goals done this year because I did it that way. Seems weird to put off a goal you think is important until the winter, since that's so far away! But the truth is, if I tried to do them all at once, I would get overwhelmed and do none of them. Better later than never. Haha
Yess a fall themed video… fall officially starts tomorrow and I am so excited. I’m totally guilty of having my house decked out in pumpkins since the end of August 🤫
Dietetic student here! those of us who live pretty far north will not get enough vitamin D from the sun so supplementation is really important!! It’s good not only for mood but also our bone density!
I love the reminder of “find what is working for you and keep it” because you’re right, the routine doesn’t have to be always changing! Also, nice call out to Peter Attia! Brb gotta pick up his book. Thank you for all you do, Keltie!
The book advice was surprisingly helpful. I always feel like I need to consume more, and compare all the methods, and that it’s helping me find my own way. But rather, it turns to information overload, and eventually, you’re just over analyzing everything. Thanks for calling me out on this. Guess I knew but needed to hear it! 🙏🏽

I have been 'notification free' for more than two-years. let me tell you, this is the best thing that you can do for yourself. Especially when you work in a corporate / banking environment. Productivity, quality of work and mental health increased by 1000% (exactly that measure.)
#12 is one I need to watch. Reviewing the useful habits is great, but no, I don’t need another book. In fact, I find a periodic review of the stuff I consider foundational in my depression recovery efforts does more good than anything else, but I do need to keep it brief. Review, apply what I know to my daily activities and just keep going. My latest level up involves increasing my fitness intensity. Was building a new baseline, but now it’s time to expand things a bit more, without overdoing it. So far so good, temps are cooling so walking is a simple add on. Rainy? Bring on rope flow, rebounding and kb swings when I need a bit extra. Thanks again, Keltie!
One thing that has been helping me to stop endlessly online shopping is to make a list of all the things i want to purchase and specifically setting aside money for each item, instead of impulse spending. It make me think over the course of weeks if i truly want that thing. Also, i try to avoid online shopping because its like opening presents it become addictive, i find myself just buying stuff to open it. Its less addictive in person.
What helped me a lot was a long walk through the forest with my best friend when we both felt really stressed out. We got an alcoholfree beer afterwards and went home and I felt SO relaxed - can recommend :)

I sooo agree w making healthy habits easy! In my new house I have my pre workout and protein in an easy to reach cabinet so I actually use them. It’s like the Atomic Habits idea of reducing friction for good habits.
I have always done flat out cycling (stationary) for 30 seconds and recovery of 4:30mins. This was on a Australian health/science tv show over 10 years ago and that has been my go to ever since
Great video! I'm going to do an audit of my day. I definitely see the benefits and insights from self reflection and audit. I'm training for a trail half marathon, doing Lagree and starting Yoga this week. Doing all that around my work schedule has proven challenging. Hence the Audit. Thank you.

it's fall so weekends are like: Saturdays keltie content (that never changed regardless of season haha😎🍻) Sundays football generally i like to train a 2-on-1-off full body routine in the fall to prepare for the winter.... also totally agree with waiting on fall for fall items (not sure why dunkin/starbucks/etc were trying to push things in August, it's almost as bad as how early x-mas comes around)
Glad my videos are year round! Sunday football + pumpkin flavoured things are perfection Glad you agree, I see Christmas things popping up already LETS US ENJOY THE SEASON WE’RE IN CAPITALISM 😂🧡
I came to the channel to see your review of barre vs pilates vs yoga. You have information dense videos which are hard to find. I really enjoyed this one as well, I felt there was a lot of good substance
healthy habits focus on balance and well-being. Starting the day with a nutritious breakfast, regular exercise, and spending time outdoors are key. Canadians prioritize fresh, local foods and hydration, especially in extreme weather. Mental health is also emphasized, with a focus on disconnecting from technology and enjoying nature. Overall, it’s about maintaining a balanced, active lifestyle.
A note about vitamin D from the sun- the sun has to be high enough in the sky (there are apps/websites where you can check your location but generally think your shadow must be shorter than you are tall) so you’re not getting vitamin d on your morning walks, or anytime of day in the winter unless you’re practically in the tropics.
Me watching Keltie, sipping my LMNT sparkling electrolyte water that I definitely wasn’t influenced to buy… LOL no but really LMNT has been such a fantastic addition to my health! I completely stopped drinking energy drinks 🙌🏻
I'm also loving the LMNT and looking forward to cold so I can have the chocolate hot! Weirdly, I find I can put off my first cup of coffee longer. Maybe my coffee craving are part nighttime dehydration?
Amazing content in this video! I rarely suggest anything in comments, but the book women’s magic truths on borlest is a game-changer. It provides deep knowledge on wealth and self-care that can really make a difference. Take care, everyone
14:51 sameeeee, I also constantly consume productivity strategies (hence why I’m here haha) BUT I have been incorporating some more spiritual strategies. I’m curious and exploring Buddhism. Anyway, thanks for another great video!
Love your tips! But completely turning off notifications gives me anxiety, so for me a good middle ground is to have them scheduled and/or let a focus mode hide them. This way my phone doesn't buzz but they are still there for me to check them if i conciously decide to.
Keltie first of all you are part of my healthy habits because I always do something productive as I watch your videos. This video has made me realise I really don’t have many healthy habits, I’m not super unhealthy but I’m really not consistent with things, I will work on that Love the idea of a sleep audit. I’m always convinced I should be waking up early but I’m starting to believe maybe the night is my time…we shall find out soon enough Also just want to take this moment to say I’ve been watching you for years and you have been this consistent source of joy and inspiration to me. I think you’re truly wonderful, thank you for sharing so much here and being our online best friend 🫶
I am quite lucky because all the people I follow on social media is so far from me (I am Italian, living in Italy) that I would spend 2/3 times more due to taxes and shipping for all the shopping I’d do! Haha My body never felt better when I genuinely fall asleep when I feel the need to, at 10pm. Now I want to implement more things in the menu 😊 thanks for the video!!
Constantly reorganizing cabinets and changing things up could be a different type of scrolling addiction. Dopamine comes in all forms. But it is funny because technology has made all of us addicted to instant gratification and given us short attn spans. It can be hard to even watch a YT video without pausing. 😂
Those are some really good healthy habits Keltie. Thanks for the advice. About skin picking; I've picked a few scabs, I've picked my nose on occasion(in-private of course). And maybe a pimple or two or three. Looking forward to the autumn season, I don't anticipate getting a scabs. I can pretty much guarantee I'll get a booger in my nose this Fall which will prompt me to pick it out. I'll probably get a pimple as well, but I've learned not to pick and/or pop them. Oh yes, I do find myself picking at my teeth. Those damn sesame seeds and poppy seeds on bagels make my pinky-finger go right in there. It seems to cause my dates to end rather early. Hmmm😁
That sounds organized and planned. All we need is actually start doing it. I wonder how it works: thanx to this channel I am running now 5k in 34 mins, but I can not organize my skincare routine 😂 P.S. waiting for review on Oura ring 💍 ❤

I would love a video explaining how can I start doing sports or moving my body, I struggle a lot finding a way to start my journey
these are so good, thank u
Love this video good tips hobbyng with Friends is so fun not only sports but also being creative like making bracelts
Fall let's go girl I'm definitely ready
14:51 sameeeee, I also constantly consume productivity strategies (hence why I’m here haha) BUT I have been incorporating some more spiritual strategies. I’m curious and exploring Buddhism. Anyway, thanks for another great video!
Absolute LOVE this video!! Thank you Keltie just what I needed to reset for the autumn months ❤
Loved this! Such great ideas! There def rang true for me. Do a winter one!
i would never mute you Keltie
Wow, 12 stars out of 10 for this video! Thanks for sharing
Love your tips! But completely turning off notifications gives me anxiety, so for me a good middle ground is to have them scheduled and/or let a focus mode hide them. This way my phone doesn't buzz but they are still there for me to check them if i conciously decide to.
LOVEEEEEEE this videos!
Yesss, loved this video so much!! So motivating and inspiring, thankyou 🫶🫶
Keltie first of all you are part of my healthy habits because I always do something productive as I watch your videos.
This video has made me realise I really don’t have many healthy habits, I’m not super unhealthy but I’m really not consistent with things, I will work on that
Love the idea of a sleep audit. I’m always convinced I should be waking up early but I’m starting to believe maybe the night is my time…we shall find out soon enough
Also just want to take this moment to say I’ve been watching you for years and you have been this consistent source of joy and inspiration to me. I think you’re truly wonderful, thank you for sharing so much here and being our online best friend 🫶
I made pumpkin bread yesterday. It is fully autumn here in England. 😭 I miss summer. However, I do love pumpkins and pumpkin bread.
u always look so good!
Thank you! this video was so encouraging and well made!
I am quite lucky because all the people I follow on social media is so far from me (I am Italian, living in Italy) that I would spend 2/3 times more due to taxes and shipping for all the shopping I’d do! Haha
My body never felt better when I genuinely fall asleep when I feel the need to, at 10pm. Now I want to implement more things in the menu 😊 thanks for the video!!
This was exactly what I needed to hear, thank you ❤
Autumnal self reflection 🍁
My favorite is giving myself a bedtime like a toddler so that I actually sleep eight hours a night 😌
Thank youuuu sm for this video omg you have no idea🙏❤️
Constantly reorganizing cabinets and changing things up could be a different type of scrolling addiction. Dopamine comes in all forms.
But it is funny because technology has made all of us addicted to instant gratification and given us short attn spans. It can be hard to even watch a YT video without pausing. 😂
you should make a podcast!!! ❤❤
i see Keltie's upload - i like
I see Fenimorka’s comment - I like
Woo-hoo! Love these kinda videos Keltie!
Hmmm😁
Great video and eyeipening, even for someone of my advanced years in my 50's - yes you have an older audience 😅. ❤ from Australia
That sounds organized and planned. All we need is actually start doing it. I wonder how it works: thanx to this channel I am running now 5k in 34 mins, but I can not organize my skincare routine 😂
P.S. waiting for review on Oura ring 💍 ❤
I love that the cop didn’t stop to hear the girl’s story after that lesson from the other guy when she said she had no choice 😂
remember that in season is different for some because of their climate! look up a local list.
Doing 12 sun salutations daily and picking two projects to complete when not working
Next week Keltie, I’m going to Portland, Oregon for my 2 days stay at the hotel. This is the first time I’m going to the United States.
Have a great time there Ervin!!
Portland is amazing, have fun!
That's great that you are doing it .
It’s so hard to find good friends these days with the same goals as you
That number 1 is going to be important. These are all great ideas though.
Fika forever💗
Great video! What step counter app do you display on your home screen?
