The captions killed me when you said “she could just be eating blended vegetables” and the captions said ‘blood and vegetables’ which is definitely what society wants to believe
Also, I massively appreciate that you brought up the hypocritical reactions to men fasting vs women fasting. Fasting pre-dates toxic diet culture by literal millennia and there are a variety of reasons people do it. Freaking tech bros don't own it as one of their "life optimizing hacks." If I, as a woman, choose to fast the immediate assumption is that I'm desperate to lose weight or that I've been brainwashed by toxic diet culture. That's simply not true T _ T

This was so refreshing to watch!!!!! You were so nice towards Gwyneth and made great arguments. Sometimes we just hate for the sake of hating and it can get pretty toxic. I'm also looking forward to hear your opinion on Tracy Anderson. I literally had no idea who she was until I started following this rich arab girl from LA who follows her routines religiously and swears by her. I totally got what you meant when you said that these rich people are so entertaining to watch because their day to day lives are so out of touch from what a regular day to day would look like for a 9-5 worker.
I have been doing Tracy Anderson from home streaming for over a decade. It is the real deal. My body structure has completely changed, lost weight, gained amazing muscle tone. I will never do anything else!
totally agree with your point of view about people picturing things based on a phrase etc, cause like, in the edited video she was quickly stating how her daily diet goes and people were so shocked, BUT, in a previous interview with harpers bazaar she had already mentioned that she doesn't eat breakfast (only sometimes), which means she already does that for a very long time, probably because she doesn't feel hungry in the mornings or she doesn't like breakfast food. i know a LOT of people that don't eat breakfast for no reason other than they don't want to, they don't feel the need to or don't feel hungry. also, she didn't detail everything she eats in a day, she just mentioned some things, probably what she's been eating more these days. in the harper's bazaar interview she mentioned that she likes to eat one-pot dinners during the week and that her daughter is vegetarian so they always have a vegetarian option on the table. i think we assume too much from too little and we tend to hate on people for promoting this or that when most of the times people are just mentioning things at the top of their heads inside a longer conversation.
OMG thank you for speaking truth about “detoxing”! I knew there was a reason I follow you! (Several, actually.) But anyway, yes! As long as your liver and kidneys function how they should, and you drink plenty of water, you have NO need to “detox”! Love your videos, Keltie!

I love your content so dearly. My friend who swore off running said that you give running a breath of fresh air and she has tried it because of you! Thanks girl!
I don't consider myself a fasting person, but sometimes I do not like to eat any food until 10? 11? Some days I wake up and am ravenous and need some oats ASAP. I think if you're fasting because it feels like what your body wants, it's fine. If you're STARVING and dizzy and sweaty and your blood sugar DROPS like the beat, girl eat something. Like why are you trying to die.
If you're actually interested in learning about the topic, I read a fabulous book by Dr Mindy Pelz called Fast Like A Girl.. that actually provides the science, and recommends a fasting routine that suites a women's hormones.. because there are weeks in your cycle when it's not good to fast! And that's what your body is probably naturally telling you!
@@YassyDK101 I appreciate that, and a way of looking at fasting that works with womens bodies. this was genuinely such a good video. i love how you discuss the nuance behind things in a fun way and yet always make sure to bring it back to the science as much as possible without weighing it down or being black or white about things :>
Eating breakfast, for women especially, (thats why andrew huberman can do it and have little issue) is great for our hormone health and helps to balance cortisol and insulin. It's not health promoting (for MOST women) to skip breakfast, and especially to have coffee on an empty stomach because that can spike your cortisol levels. I used to try to push back eating until 11 or 12 but it was NOT ideal for my body, and you just don't have energy for movement or life without food. I now eat breakfast when I wake up, and im acutally hungry in the morning and it's great for my metabolism, hormone health, and over well being. I hope lots of girls and women don't try to push back their eating until the afternoon because they see celeberties doing it and think they need to do it for "health" or weight loss. Also as always, amazing content!!!
@@Vivi_LaRue I second that. Having breakfast before 10 actually messes up my metabolism and makes me way more hungry throughout the day. I never had breakfast my entire life even as a child if I wasn't forced to. I have an early mid day lunch, an afternoon snack and dinner. And I can still be active and concentrate on work in the morning. I gotta say though that dinner is my biggest meal so maybe I'm just more full than others in the morning.
I think the thing about meditation (which only took me 30 years of not meditating to learn XD) is that it's not just sitting in silence with your eyes closed. If you can really achieve the mind-quieting/body-awareness needed while sitting like that more power to you, but it's NOT easy. Going for a walk or run, following a guided meditation that walks you through different exercises, doing a guided breathing exercise, heck even COOKING can be meditation if done with full embodiment, dedication, and focused awareness. When I realized that my meditation didn't have to look like a Buddha statue, I was actually able to start meditating.
If you watch the podcast episode where Gwyneth talks about her diet (it's o YT) you can clearly she how she's NOT glowing. She looks tired, worn out and exhausted and given her looks without make-up I wouldn't follow her diet advice at all.
Hi Keltie, thanks so much for this video I really enjoyed watching you debunk Gwyneth’s diet and debunk some of the “wellness hack” she is presenting. I was reading through the comments and something that hasn’t been discussed fully is the ethical responsibility Gwyneth has to promote healthy habits with the scope of her platform. I know many young people like myself take her advice seriously. The diet she explained on the podcast episode does not seem high enough in calories or diversity of macronutrients for the average citizen. I respect everyone’s freedom of choice, including Gwyneth’s, but the podcast felt like she was promoting an unsustainable and unhealthy diet. Though I know that she included a more detailed explanation later after she received blowback on the internet, I think she has been in enough controversies at this point to know how her words can be interrupted. I think the fact that she explained herself afterwards helps highlight that she knew her words in the initial interview were irresponsible. I hope moving forward Gwyneth takes more responsibility for her role in the “wellness industrial complex” and how her opinions can impact those who look up to her like young women.
Love your videos Keltie. A note about fasting, woman are best to fast with consideration to where they are in their cycle. Dr Mindy Pelz explains the best way to fast, in short day 1 - 11 can intermittent fast and extended fasts, day 11-15 shorter fasts, day 16-19 can include longer fasts and day 20 to your period no fasting x
I get why people get upset about people born into wealth. Because they ARE out of touch most of the time. But personally, I’m wayyyy more upset if someone doesn’t utilize what was given to them. People born with any money, special talent, or whatever should use it for good. And people born with less, can’t focus on hate because they will never amount to anything like that and will just put the rich further up.
Just thought of this - guess the movie . I’m on a diet, I just don’t eat anything until I feel like I’m about to pass out, then I eat a cube of cheese… 😂 gold
I wouldn't say she's "glowing". She's aging like any blonde white woman who has access to cosmetic procedures and treatments. She'd look better if she wore sunscreen from a young age.
Just found your channel (due to also being obsessed with Andrew Huberman/Huberman Lab!!❤) and LOVE your videos! Are you familiar with Dr Stacy Sims, author or Roar and Stanford Alum? She has Huberman like protocol specific to female athlete Physiology that I think you would dig!
Hi Keltie! Love this video, I love how you share your knowledge without judgement! I also love the top - where's it from please? Can't see it in the description!
I think people waste a lot of energy being mad at people. The sooner you accept that life isn’t fair and that the world doesn’t owe you anything, better. It forces you to focus on the opportunities around YOU! Also when you get wealthy you can enjoy it more cause you’ve seen the other side. There is no same starting line, it’s mythical. Focus on where you are and grow from there❤
I love that you tried to approach this so respectfully, but Gwyneth is the bane of my existence and the woman readily promotes unsafe, unhealthy practices to make a dollar off insecure women. Regardless if she eats more than what she stated in the interview, she stated those foods to portray a very exact image and appeal to a particular audience associated with Goop. And you guessed it, it’s the wealthy almond moms she’s selling to.
Not defending Gwyneth here, but that video is edited in a way to make it look like she doesn't talk about real food. In the full discussion, she talks a lot more about actual food that she eats throughout the day. I don't know who originally edited it, but it feels super misleading. This isn't to say she's not problematic and everything you said still stands, but regarding this viral clip (and clips in general...)I think we should look at the full picture and form opinions from there :)
@@AlexZetoSings Love your response and clarification! Thanks for letting me know the clip is seriously edited to be more outrageous and misleading than what was actually said, without discounting that Gwyneth is rather irresponsible with her image in other ways. I really appreciate you sharing that, I often try to remember the full picture but as everyone else, get caught in the hype trap particularly when I’ve already formed an opinion about someone so I don’t feel as much need to confirm my evidence (guess that’s cognitive bias for ya!).
ok.... but you finally gave me a reason to understand the entertainment of Kardashians or Gwenyth or other bouje people...... I never understood it. the way you explained it at the end.... that makes sense to me! and the last comment!!! lol!!!!!!! I can't with you!
It is ironic that detox is such a toxic word. Maybe you're on the right track, though. Instead of calling them "body detoxifiers," they can be "body optimizers" . . . But then again that term should only apply to things that REALLY do good for the body, like a dose of sunlight or a colorful fruit salad or a soul-warming, spirit-lifting dessert that reminds you of childhood visits to Grandma. We can save the term "detoxifiers" for the snake oil . . . Now i want to bake a cake.
The thing they always throw me off with the fasting... If you are drinking coffee/tea and celery juice you already in theory "break your fast" no? Cuz you are not supposed to have anything that contains calories or will stimulate your insulin? Like there's definitely calories in any kinds of coffee or tea and there are also traces of carbs in your celery juice and lemon water? Like in my IF days (also at the peak of my ED ✨) I had tutoring in a cafe every single morning and the only thing I would order is water 💀 I was worried the starch in my multivitamins will break my fast 💀 so yes I am glad that I no longer do IF... but I am always confused about how ppl are so chill about it as if their fast won't be broken if the food they have is not like a smoothie or something they have to chew 😅
Very positive and I enjoyed your perspective I agree with everything you said. And it has made me more accepting of it and the craziness of it thank you
Corn Tortilla Chips are superior. They are especially fun when one has blue & yellow chips paired with tomatillo (green) & tomato (red) salsas. Snack the rainbow 🌈
Automated captions gave us "blooded vegetables" instead of "blended vegetables" and I'm sitting here laughing at the image of Gwyneth Paltrow eating vegetables with something that looks like ketchup and setting a new "wellness" trend
The fact that she STILL supports Tracy Anderson is very concerning for responsible, effective, safe and results oriented members of the fitness industry like me. Her “dance” (using the term very loosely here because I am a real professional ballerina) are absurd anatomically and believe me when I say: she’s the only one who can make them look remotely effective. She overheats and increases the humidity in the rooms to the point that there are several complaints by former employees. Haven’t we learned anything from Bikram yoga?
Thank you for pointing this out from a prospective of a ballerina! I’m planning a full Tracy Anderson video so that’s why I didn’t go into depth about that. The tea is coming on that one
@@KeltieOConnor love that! If you need any help let me know. I’m a professional ballerina, Pilates and Barre Master (meaning I have credentials to certify other instructors) and have had the displeasure of taking classes from Tracy herself. It is appalling to watch someone become a cult leader with such ineffective, dangerous and awkward exercises. She doesn’t talk during her classes and thus provide no modifications for injuries or explanations for why the students are doing anything. As a ballerina it’s easy for me to pick up movement patterns quickly and easily but most of the other participants were doing everything wrong and instead of feeling accomplished and challenged as they should in a proper class, they all looked lost. Also, she requires her own certification from potential employees (basically they have to pay thousands of dollars to “learn” from her “method with no promises of future employment). I also teach highly choreographed exercises but I literally talk the whole time - I do the classes with my clients for that reason but always follow the progression pattern to accommodate all levels, I explain (while we move) why we’re doing all of exercises and encourage questions so that they know why we are doing an exercise (muscle groups etc), finally I have non negotiable rules concerning safety and injury prevention and rehab (all backed up by my anatomy and kinesiology and work with doctors and PTs). I never stop talking or moving. Yes I can’t teach as many classes as someone who’s silent or heats up room to make the clients think they’re working harder than they actually are. I’m fine with my choice because all my people leave my classes fitter and more knowledgeable to recognize good but different work from what we do together (variety is great and I would never claim I’m the only one with all the answers), and most importantly how to protect their bodies if they’re in a class with no modifications or safety precautions or even proper explanation for what they’re doing. Sorry for the rant but I too got first hand tea on her!
Really? It’s good to know, i need to look into TA more throughly. I don’t know anything about Tracy Anderson apart from her workouts. Her method really worked for me and I loved it during the lockdowns but I’m someone who loves to leave the house for a workout so I am not doing the workouts anymore. I would do, if I didn’t have time to go to the gym.
I'm not sure if you've addressed it already at some point, but I remember you talking about having rib flare and an apt, and I wanted to day that you're looking incredible, and if you share anything specific to combat it, I would be all ears
love you videos and your take on things! Did you read Spoon fed from Tim Spector? its a great book that speaks about health and food, highly recommend.
I intermittent fast as Anthony Huberman suggested, during my recovery from surgery it has allowed me to maintain the weight I was at without working out, now I'm more mobile I've started to work out again so should hopefully see some good results soon.
THE SUBTITLES!!!!! They transformed this video for me. I was hilarious and distracting. I petition for K to reupload this without subtitles so I might be able to follow what she was saying HAHA......
hahahaha.... NOT me drinking fermented caffeine free Ketones DAILY for 7 years. haha. Love ya infinitely, not a GP fan of any sort. Goop=Poop My dermatologist yelled at me for purchasing one Goop product.. 👅 scraping, I felt that IN MY SOUL. 😂
My take on her routine: it's nice and all, but wasting your most focused and productive hours on light exercise and meditation? That's stuff that can easily be done in the afternoon when your body and brain have a low point anyway. Girls have work to do you know
I love that brands are becoming more inclusive with sizes and ethnicities, some with age too, some with very visible skin conditions or diseases, but sometimes I feel that they try to be inclusive in a very obvious way to get karma points for all the bad things they did in the past. However, they still pick women with gorgeous faces (natural or not) and usually a certain height, where the reality is that many of us are not like that. Hopefully in the future “anyone” will be able to be a model, because they will represent different people in our society
I think GP is all about the hype of trends and not actually being healthy/well. I still loved this video though because you point out all the issues with the habits/lifestyle she espouses and back it up with science. ❤
Hi there hows it going these days whats new and exciting these days...any new workouts any new challenges youve dealt with...hope all is well Praying for you all God bless
In my opinion as long as you acknowledge the privileges you've had in your life, it's fine. At the end of the day nothing is fair in life, we have to acknowledge that no matter how hard you work, ther's always going to be someone who works harder. And at the same time, there's going to be someone who works way less than you do while still gaining more than you do and that's okay. The world isn't fair, what matters is that we try to be the best versions of ourselves while acknowledging that different people have different struggles and different privileges than we do and at the end of the day, we're all just trying to live our lives with some modicum of dignity. I think it's easier to envy and hate rich privileged individuals than it is to recognise that they are still people, albeit out of touch with the rest of society, but nonetheless they are still people who deserve understanding and compassion just like everybody else.
I don't get why we can't corn tortillas in a Paleo diet. What do white people think Indigenous people were eating in Mexico during the Paleolithic age? 😅

So true.. cleaning is meditation for me
If you watch the podcast episode where Gwyneth talks about her diet (it's o YT) you can clearly she how she's NOT glowing.
I'm pretty positive that it's not intermittent fasting if you drink coffee and juice in the morning. even when you don't eat anything.
Omg you rock for calling people out when they freak out after a woman says the word diet.. 😂
My favorite other 🥑 avoider!! Thanks for sticking up for others who double over if the ultimate health food is consumed 😅 Great video!!
I agree!! 😍 FINALLY someone who does not just hate on Goop...
Focus on where you are and grow from there❤
Loving this video Keltie! The comedy moments were excellent 😂
Science is fun, but really im just here to make y’all laugh 😜
@@KeltieOConnor love it! :D
Tongue scraping is actually an ayurvedic Indian thing, my parents would always have me do it!
The pipeline from "almond mom" to "Karen" absolutely checks out.
@@Rawrzee Totally, I do it all the time too. The internet basically demands that response lol. This is just my attempt at a
tiny revolution.
ok.... but you finally gave me a reason to understand the entertainment of Kardashians or Gwenyth or other bouje people...... I never understood it. the way you explained it at the end.... that makes sense to me! and the last comment!!! lol!!!!!!! I can't with you!
Love your videos!! They always make my day ❤️
Same reaction with the tongue scraping but I swear my mouth feels better and cleaner… lmao
Absolutely amazing!!! Loved it from start to finish. I’ve always been a meh/on the fence about Goop and Paltrow, good to see both sides
I feel like a lot of the people criticizing Gwyneth are not Andrew Huberman fans, and would criticize him too if they knew about his routines.
I am loving your videos
Biggest surprise from her ski trial: She doesn't own goop. Not even a majority stake. She has a minority, she's just the face
Very positive and I enjoyed your perspective
I agree with everything you said. And it has made me more accepting of it and the craziness of it thank you
Absolutely love your videos! Always put a smile on my face ❤
Corn Tortilla Chips are superior. They are especially fun when one has blue & yellow chips paired with tomatillo (green) & tomato (red) salsas. Snack the rainbow 🌈
YES!!! So good 🤤
Watching this while eating vegan corn dogs lol.
I really like your approach to this.
As an accountant, pre-work out before accounting is a sport I'm here for 😂
Alani is great but keep in mind i'm a male with 163 LB's of lean mass and a half scoop is enough to cure a hangover lol, stuff is delicious though
@@jonsmith9728 I could probably use some right now then 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve always been a fan of her, she is totally in on the joke. She just loves trying all the wellness things and money is no object for her so why not.
Literally clicked off your older video for your newest video 🤣 then back to binging more of your content !
I APPRECIATE YOU THE MOSTEST!! 🤍🤍
Automated captions gave us "blooded vegetables" instead of "blended vegetables" and I'm sitting here laughing at the image of Gwyneth Paltrow eating vegetables with something that looks like ketchup and setting a new "wellness" trend
The McGill as Harvard joke had my Queen’s self dying inside haha
What is the Tracy Anderson tea?
Now I'm curious
@@KeltieOConnoryaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
I'm not sure if you've addressed it already at some point, but I remember you talking about having rib flare and an apt, and I wanted to day that you're looking incredible, and if you share anything specific to combat it, I would be all ears
love you videos and your take on things! Did you read Spoon fed from Tim Spector? its a great book that speaks about health and food, highly recommend.
I see your growth, and it's awesome
You make addictive videos! lol
I intermittent fast as Anthony Huberman suggested, during my recovery from surgery it has allowed me to maintain the weight I was at without working out, now I'm more mobile I've started to work out again so should hopefully see some good results soon.
My brain just exploded ….. Downey isn’t suppose to be in your video
I really think you’re onto something with the almond mom to Karen theory 😂👏🏼
Those captions made my head hurt!
I have a question have you ever heard of 75 Hard . Would you ever do this ???
Loved this video! 😂
PLEASE do a video about tracy anderson
your 'meditation' was too real lmao
Not a super fan of the captions. I can turn on auto captions when I need, but I usually find captions really distracting
Inappropriate jokes are always the best lol skiing perfect joke😂
I think GP is all about the hype of trends and not actually being healthy/well.
I still loved this video though because you point out all the issues with the habits/lifestyle she espouses and back it up with science. ❤
18:53 ...she takes herself with a grain of himalayan pink salt *ba dum tis*
Happy April Fool’s Day and it’s my birthday month, Keltie!❤❤
Happy early birthday Ervin!!
Thanks, Keltie!
I just have to say u totally put me on the Andrew huberman train lol!!
Love the rant about detox.
Can you not use the auto-captions please? They’re wrong and a can’t not read them when watching so don’t feel like I’m 100% focussed. Thanks
I enjoyed this video
Late here, but I appreciate the contrast between what society says when a man vrs a woman says they are fasting.
I don't get why we can't corn tortillas in a Paleo diet. What do white people think Indigenous people were eating in Mexico during the Paleolithic age? 😅
I really enjoyed “Eat, Fast, Feast” by Jay W Richards, on fasting. I think it was a really healthy balance on the topic 🙌🏼
Girllll I feel you in the freaking avocados. Allergic here tooo. But I’m also allergic to bananas, started in nursing school! Like 12 years ago lol ughhh so frustrating
I love Tracy Anderson workouts.
I relate so hard to loving gluten but an avocado will kill me 😂😂 bc same
😂so entertaining. I appreciate not using the word detox so much. Eat vegetables and Whole Foods and things..or sip kale and inject Ozempic
