Finally! We don’t have to switch between sounds and sequencer on the iPad n I can finally make a FULL track with FIGURE instead of just 8 bar phrases 🤩🤩🤩
Discovered your channel about a week ago to prepare for the arrival of my Force (hopefully today!). Your content is excellent and you have a very engaging style. Please keep 'em coming!
I bought the midi to USB breakout and the stereo mini-plug to stereo phono cables through your links, I'm sure the commission is small but I know every little bit helps. Thanks again, you got a lot of cool content that I'll be checking out
Killer video, I'm new to the MPC one and this is something I've meant to do with many other devices, and that's to really exploit the power of the iPad and iOS apps...
This video was dope. Had a tad bit of trouble along the way but it seemed to sort itself out. Everything works perfect, and just turned my force into a whole new animal!! Thanks man. Much appreciated. I'm subscribing forsure.
This was great man, thank you for the video. I have a Live, and I found a killer deal on a Force which is on its way. There are so many great apps for the iPad that it makes sense to integrate them like this. Even multitimbral apps like Korg's iM1 basically puts a whole rompler style workstation into your Akai with minimal effort.
great tutorial. I have been looking for a compact audio interface with midi, which is pretty hard to find. Any issue with the USB to midi adapter? That would open up my audio interface options since I could use 5-pin din midi with that USB device.
🧔🏽👍🏽 great video. Have you ever try making key groups from the iPad? You can auto sample the sound and make it into a key group, even from an iOS device. Try using Bluetooth and WiFi features.
hi.thank you for the nice video. I'm piano player and my idea was to record on midi and convert to audio. the problem is that looper can do maximum 16 bars and i need much more! is it possible to change that or maybe another method to convert midi to audio? greetings!;)
If you advertise iPad as a Bluetooth midi device it will show up on force to create a wireless link. I record to spire which accepts two channel, large jacks and mix using a little bear mixer with output of both separate input channels from ipad and the akai.
Great class men, I was trying to do it only by USB directly from the iPad to FORCE, but I di don’t work fine! ......next lesson same with LOGIC using the network! Fine&stay save men😉
I used the link, hope you got credit. You should consider making a FAQ video. Talk about the stand. Also, adjusting TC to 1/64 so what you play doesn’t get messed up. Also how the monitoring works, so you can hear yourself and what you record. And how to format your hd so you can find, using disk manager. Nothing on the force is easy. Love your channel, btw. You’re a big help. Thanks
I've been using a lot, Kynematica AUM, its the IOS APP, better than ...others, its a blank blanket, and I got my Force March 2020. Question: Update 3.0.6 still the same arquitecture of confections? Always Midi and I/O (audio) together? Thanks lot men! Namaste!
Merci beaucoup. Thanks for this precious video. What I would appreciate to see is a video about how to create MPC instruments from the IPad. I bought lots of romplers, lot’s of apps for music on my Ipad, but By the time, the iPad storage size is reduced. What I would like to do is to save all my instruments in multi sampled MPC instruments. Sorry for my poor Frenchy English. Hope you understand.
I am deciding between buying the mpc live 1 or the mpc force. I have been producing for over 11 years on fl studio, which I love the sound; however, I am ready to step my sonics up and get that Akai drum. I am leaning towards the force because of the workflow... Do the drums hit harder on the live or force? Which would you recommend sir?
Hey man - me again! The Apple adapter you link to has a HDMI but not a 3.5mm jack. I can't see one on the Apple store either, so wondering what to do?!?
Thanks for the heads up Dave! I updated the link bro but unfortunately this device is sold out! The best alternative is the IRig Pro bro. You can try some of the 3rd party kits but I wouldn’t trust it. If you can afford it here’s the link: iRig Pro Interface: amzn.to/2PvCtKL. 🙏🏾👊🏾
Hi Marcus I’ve tried this but couldn’t get any respond from my Force. When I tried to set my midi channel to usb on Force there are only 3 options to choose; all ports, force and remote, no option as usb. Could you please help me about trouble shooting. Thanks much
What’s good Matt?! I’m sorry you get this to work bro bro! Email a pic of the cables you are using @elbowmediastudios@gmail.com and show me ur connections. 👊🏾🙏🏾
I've just worked out you can use Bluetooth MIDI between the iPad and the Force. Still need to get audio out via the lightning/USB port so I'm using an adapter for that. So far works well. I'm not using AUM, just a single synth so far.
So basically you can use other sounds not available on Force and record it into the force from the iPad. Now I need to find out if I can use a stems splitter on iPad and record that into the force.
What’s good beatMakers! It’s been brought to my attention that the type c camera kit is out of stock or no longer available 🤨 on Amazon. You can try one of the 3rd party devices or you can go with the much better iRig Pro Midi/Audio interface. It’s a little expensive but it work great for all iPhones and iPads. Blame Apple 😳 🙏🏾👊🏾 Get it here: iRig Pro Interface: amzn.to/2PvCtKL
I don’t have AUM, but have Audiobus, but can’t see how to set midi channels so guess I need to buy AUM. Without it I guess I can just use one iPad synth at a time? Also need to buy another overpriced camera kit, as I only have the old lightening one.
AMAZING Tutorial my friend. Consider me subbed! Just got my force today and was thinking if The M1 ipad Pro's gets Logic in June, and or other FULL DAW's, the 2 machines, to me, are unstoppable!
Is it possible to connect the phase to the akai force utilizing as a dj set up? Two turntables w/ the phase addon using the force as mixer/sound module? That would pretty cool, wouldnt it? mwm-store.com/public/imgs/yolo/Phase_gamme_img@2x.png
I wish more manufacturers would think more about iPad integration. I think it ends up being a bit of a moving target having to maintain support for a constantly shifting iOS though.
@@peterkadarmusic9728 true. Everything could be wonderful if manufacturers just kept to the standards. Now cables physically connect, but the software won’t allow it.
@@okeribok Yeah. Remember when Alesis and TC (I think??) came out with iPad docks, and Akai with those Synthstation keyboards? Seemed like a great idea till Apple up and changed things on them, and that's just the hardware. How often do we have to update an app because iOS updated? Probably a few times a year, right? I'd rather see Akai add disk streaming before worrying about what the ghost of Steve Jobs might dream up next.
This the one I was looking for. 🔥👊🏾
ThankYou for your clear and concise approach. Subscribed.

Not only that, but if Figure supports sync from Ableton Link, you could get them to run together perfectly in time on your wi-fi network.
@@peterkadarmusic9728 be awesome if you could do a video on this Peter?

This workflow is great 👍
This is one of the things I’ve always had in mind with the force! Really looking forward to this video bro xx
🙏🏾👊🏾
Great video. I find it faster to just record directly to an audio track. No need to go into Looper. Just arm the audio track and press play.
Great info! Thanks! 🙏🏾👊🏾
Thanks for the Tutorial! Very informative.
Been doing a similar thing with MPC Live as well, great workflow

OK so I got the necessary adapter now. What I can't work out is: do I need to use AUM? I can't see how else you can set the midi channel on the iPad.
You can record the audio directly to an audio clip. Unnecessary to first record to a sample if you don't need.
