When it comes to Malaysia's signature food, you certainly can't go wrong with nasi lemak. Yes, different restaurant or family usually have their own unique recipe for the sambal sauce. Also cats in Malaysian restaurants is quite a common sight. Some restaurants sometimes feed the cats with leftover food.

When I was a student in University, i ate nasi lemak everyday because that time it cheaper, about RM1. Then when in third semester, I selling nasi lemak as side income. Love when Aya san also like nasi lemak, sentimental cuisine for me.

Teh tarik = pulled milk tea
In Malaysia when we order teh we get milk tea. Teh panas/Teh ais (hot tea/Iced tea with milk). Teh O is without milk. The 'O' were used by the Chinese but since it's more easy and short to pronounce, all of us started using the 'O'.

Never been to Wanjo, but they look like very yummy. The "Teh tarik" seems to be overly sweet because I saw he put too much condensed milk, if you find it too sweet tell them "teh tarik, kurang manis" (Kurang=less, manis=sweet). Nice video, looking forward to more of your food hunting in Malaysia.

Whether you are in restaurant or mamak stall, whenever you find your beverage is too sweet due to condensed milk/sugar, you can just tell the staff "it is too sweet and kindly reduce the sweetness". This is quite normal request for majority of us and don't feel shy about it. They will be happy to fulfill your request because they know not everyone like overly sweet drinks.
Nasi lemak is our national cuisine, there are also many types of nasi lemak in Malaysia, congratulation, you also like to drink teh tarik

They famous for Nasi Lemak with fried chicken. Their shop is in an alley, quiet a view. They open on evening, so don’t come too early, use Grab because its hard to find parking there.

Do u like ice cream? I recommend u to try "aiskrim pulut" after hot sunny day walking in Kampung Baru, it is coconut flavor ice cream with sticky rice, enjoy :-)

To be honest I'm a bit worried when you said you want to show the toilet because public toilets in malaysia always below the par 😂. I'm glad the toilet there looks clean and comfortable.

Actually.. nasi lemak & the tarik or teh ais is not really suit combination..in term of "another" health view.
Nasi lemak would be better with teh o, kopi o, teh o ais, teh o ais limau, lemon tea, kopi o ais, green tea or chinese tea....
Or....the drinks should contra from what we eat
