They are such nice little bikes. You're right tho, any speed over highway speed is a bit too much for these bikes but the Rebel can still can ride the highway and get you to where you want to go. I've taken mine on longer trips and find it very comfortable and ergonomic at my height of 5'7". It does just fine doing the speed limit on any road I've traveled.

If I can go 60mph without ringing a bike out I’m happy. Smaller displacement bikes also score you better fuel economy. I was thinking about getting a Rebel 300 because I like EFI but when you can get a classic style bike for $1000, that’s some economical smiles for dirt cheap.

I got a 2003 rebel 250 to daily to college and I get a lot of compliments on it. I turned it into a bobber build and people like that they don’t know what it is. I tell them it’s a Honda Davidson. I’m the second owner and I completely rebuilt the bike for it to be my daily, I bought it for $1200 and so far I have only put $400 into it after a year of owning. If you can find one that was taken care of I recommend getting it if you’re considering it as a daily. Parts are cheap, the engine is bullet proof, and no one really hates it. It’s the most fun thing I’ve ever purchased.

Great video; awesome details, explanation and description 👌🏾! I just purchased a 96 Honda Rebel 250cc and it still runs like a dream inner city but highway definitely underpowered for the touring task. Im 5’ 11” 175 and I just started riding. I experienced everything you covered. I feel like it’s a bit small for me now and underpowered. It tops out a 79mpg, you can hit 80mpg down hill. Fuel ups are super cheap especially compared to my Lexus GS 350! I rode from Montgomery, AL to Atlanta, GA 330 miles for about $10 in fuel ⛽️. Great bike to learn on...

Last year I found a 2015 Honda cmx250 Rebel; Rubidium Red color with only 487 miles. The first owner, a woman who just didn't ride it that much. It still had the factory paint marks it was so new.
The 250 Rebel are no longer made by Honda as of 2016. They are a classic!

I bought a 2005 last summer so my husband could teach me the basics. I didn't want to be struggling to learn clutch control infront of an audience, and needed that extra time to gain confidence, and am registered for the end of May. A couple women brand new to riding had failed the mst when he took the course a few years ago. It costs $800cdn so I only want to take it once! 😂

I just bought a 2012 Honda Rebel 250 a couple weeks ago. Only had 1600 miles. Im 6'1 270 lbs so I made some adjustments.
I pushed the handlebars up because they were hitting my knees lol I changed the rear suspension to setting 4 and that made a huge difference. Added foglights and underglow lights. Added a 19x17 windscreen so now the wind doesnt push me so hard at highway speeds. It felt gutless at first but then i removed the airfilter cover and holy moly it actually gets up to 75 mph now 😁

Sadly most Rebels get cut up and turned into bobbers and rat bikes. I think the Rebel is one of the best looking bikes Honda has ever made. I always wished they had made maybe a 750 Rebel that looked EXACTLY like the 250, but with tubeless tires. Back in 1986 and 1987 they did make a 450, and it had special wire spoke wheels designed for tubeless tires.
