    Questions that were answered for me after making this video:
    1. Backups are not incremental yet, but it's planned.
    2. There is no way to control WP Memory Limit via the GUI, but that is nearing release.
    3. Teams ARE unlimited, despite what I see on my screen. This could change later.
    4. As I speculate in the video, xCloud's managed servers are indeed Vultr servers that have been white labeled.

    Hi Dave, thanks a lot for the thorough overview of xCloud. In the video, you mentioned that you normally spin up the Elite vultr server with 8gb of ram and 3CPU, and l was wondering how many sites can be spun up inside that server.

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Hi @egidehirwa, good question.
      It's depends on what the site is doing and how much traffic it gets. If it's for a popular WooCommerce site, only one site is ideal.
      If it's for strictly blog content or brochure business sites that can be heavily cached (or even entirely cached on the Edge using Cloudflare APO), you can run dozens if not more.
      What's most important is that you're keeping an eye on resources and leaving some capacity to serve large bursts of traffic when needed.

    Just to clarify, because this comes across a bit misleading on their sales-page:
    You don't get any servers with the LTD.
    You can MANAGE some servers with the LTD.
    You would still have to purchase and pay for the servers elsewhere.
    Edit:
    You actually mentioned this in the video.

      Yes, this is a hosting panel.
      BYO cloud accounts or buy their white labeled ones.

    Is there a difference in the dashboard features one can access if Own Server is preferred over Managed by xCloud server? Because the free 1 server is enough for someone who runs a single website, and hosting it directly to Vultr for example is still cheaper although minimal.

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't think there should be any different features once the server is connected. I'm trying to think of anything and nothing is coming to mind!

    I wonder if there's proper support for multisite? My current host does not support: cron, cloudflare integration & staging sites for sub-sites and it's not high on their to-do list either 😕

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sounds like it's time for a new host!
      Not sure about multisite, but I'd admit I'm not much of a multi-site fan.

      xCloud does not have multisite support yet, will be added soon. But it has cron, Cloudflare integration, and staging site features already.

      @TylerYanta 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks@@kawserz, I was referring to those features specifically for multisite. They have 'em for single sites though.

      @@dave-swift It is rather limiting in some ways. ~8+ years ago it was the "easier" way to get two themes working on the site and still pull data from one or the other.

    Is this essentially a replacement for Cloudways? Or, is it more similar to RunCloud/Gridpane/etc.?
    (I consider CW a bit more newbie-friendly) 🤷

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it is! Both!
      You can connect your own account (like RunCloud/Gridpane) or you can use theirs (like Cloudways).
