This gloss on the face plate ruins the module function and the screen( i don't how ) , but using some alcohol or light paint remover to clean up the face plate solve the problem. So if you purchase a vintage model proced to desasemble the watch to see how is this part
Hi, I am trying to restore my dw002 beeping sound. Back plate been tested on a dw6900, loud and clear. When I put it back on my dw002, it sound very very very very soft beep. Only thing I notice is my dw002 spring is bent. I tried adding wire and stuff but still the same. Do you think changing the spring will help? Or do you have any method to solve it?
You could fit it in but you'll need to swap all 5 buttons as well to ones that fit 6900 bezel. Plus you also need to trim/file the ridges on the side if the hardcase before 6900 bezel could be properly be fitted in. Other easy option, I could get you a custom DW-002 bezel at only 30usd. I have been restoring dw 002 for a while now for a friend as a gift. by the way, I own a solid collection of g shock watches, and lately I've been kind of more based on limited series. Not long ago, some of my models were published by user watchgeek on his channel. Now back to the DW 002... the model is 1298. all functions work perfectly. maybe I should send photos, so we can see what it takes to return the watch to its original condition, or at least close to it. I hope for some positive response... As before, I follow your future work and enjoy your video posts. P.S. just today my MTG-B2000B-1A2 arrived and I can say this: if someone asked me to choose and wear only one watch from my collection, I would definitely choose this one. I was stupid enough to buy one, and i can tell you that you have to digg very deep to find any dif inside than any other G-Shock`s..And btw. if you forget to turn of the dam,, most of the time good for nothing,, Bluetooth funktion it will eat your battery in no time.
unclip the battery holder, swap battery, clip it back in. Done, just plug and play kind of thing. Some models require us to AC the movt for it to work properly afterwards.

Hi, great video. I have a dw 002 1446 with a rotten bezel. Will a 6900 bezel fit my watch, as 002 bezels are very hard to obtain.
